Title home with him after he won it at the 2002 Survivor Series. "Michaels took a shower and then returned to Vince's office to change," writes Mates. "He was just about to leave when I pointed out to him that he'd left the World Title belt on a chair. He said he'd rather not carry the thing around and asked if I would bring it to TV for him the next day... "Really having no other options, I, Seth Mates, went home from a Pay-Per-View at Madison Square Garden, in my hometown of New York City, with the World Heavyweight Championship. And I didn't have to take one bump... And yes, when I got home, I put it on my shoulder and did a lap around my apartment. Don't even pretend you wouldn't have done the same."
