Will TNA pay-per-views air in HD along with Impact?
By Jason Powell Oct 15, 2008 - 03:02 PM

Although TNA Impact will air in HD on Oct. 23, the company will not offer its pay-per-view events in that format. TNA spokesman Steven Godfrey told Dot Net that there is a plan in the works for pay-per-views to eventually air in HD, but now just the television show will air in HD on Spike TV.

Powell's POV: It's too bad they're not ready to make the conversion on pay-per-view, but it wouldn't matter for this viewer. My local cable company doesn't offer WWE pay-per-view event in HD even though WWE launched pay-per-view in HD for WrestleMania. For that matter, my cable company doesn't offer Spike TV in HD yet. Yes, I'm looking forward to informing my giant cable company that I'm switching to DirecTV later this month.

Dot Net members received the first look at this news on Monday. They are currently listening to the first part of the weekly Q&A audio session with Jason Powell answering Dot Net members' pro wrestling questions. To become a member for only $5 per month, check out the Dot Net Members' Signup Page.
