After No Way Out, how will WWE book its top talent for WrestleMania XXV?
By Rich Twilling Feb 16, 2009 - 11:05 AM

Monday, FEBRUARY 16 – 11:05 AM (CT)

-Heading into Raw tonight, there are many questions to be answered as WWE moves toward WrestleMania XXV. There is so much uncertainty regarding the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship. Last night, Edge won the World Championship in a match he was not even scheduled to be in.

Now, we have a new WWE Champion in Triple H. Edge, a Smackdown star, now holds the World Title. Will Edge move to Raw? Will Randy Orton challenge Triple H? Where does John Cena go from here? As long as the titles do not change again in hotshot fashion, I will be very intrigued to see what materializes leading into Mania.

The ECW Title is the only championship feud with some clarity to it. Champion Jack Swagger will probably get a match at the big show, most likely against Christian or in a three way also involving Finlay. Shawn Michaels will probably face The Undertaker, but even that is uncertain. With Edge pinning Cena in the Elimination Chamber, I hope that means they will face at Mania and H will face Orton. Minus Steve Austin vs. Orton, these are two matches I would love to see.

-Already announced for Raw tonight is Melina defending the women's championship against Beth Phoenix. With no Playboy magazine shoot, we are going to get an actual wrestling match at Mania from the women this year. A lot of people, myself included, would love to see Phoenix vs. Trish Status at WrestleMania. If that is going to happen, it could be either a title match or not, so I would not be shocked to see Melina retain here.

-WWE has definitely left a lot of people guessing as to what the top stars will be doing at WrestleMania. Hopefully Raw will help answer some of those questions tonight because I enjoy longer buildups to Mania matches. I have a feeling we can expect a Kofi Kingston vs. Edge match on Raw, perhaps for the championship. This is definitely an exciting time and hopefully things will progress solidly from here on in.
