WWE Hell in a Cell preview and predictions: Will Randy Orton cash in on his final WWE Championship match? Will Legacy defeat DX inside of the Cell? Will Undertaker overcome C.M. Punk to become the World Heavyweight Champion?

The following predictions are made without any knowledge of the match finishes. I am guessing just like you are.
John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship: The Hell in a Cell match should end a feud and in two out of the three such matches on this show, that is the case. This match has me so jaded. I do not dislike John Cena because it is the cool thing. He is just too impervious to any type of adversity. Orton has had a long run with the belt this year, and is only a fraction of the strong heel C.M. Punk is. I predict Cena will go over here and Orton will claw his way back up to the title in the months leading up to WrestleMania.
C.M. Punk vs. The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Out of the three Cell matches, this one has the least amount of fanfare and expectations. That being the case, I think this is going to be the match of the night. I’m having a difficult time pinning down a prediction because with the screw job last month, the Bret Hart rumors, and Survivor Series coming up, I think Taker is in for more shenanigans. That being said, and I would not agree with this decision if they booked it, but I think Taker will win the title, unless he blatantly gets screwed again. Taker has not been good for Punk’s title reign.
Degeneration X (Shawn Michaels and Triple H) vs. Legacy (Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes): I think this match will be a lot of fun given the extra two men inside of the Cell. If they decide to go in a “non-PG” direction anytime during the show, it will be during this match. I’m guessing this will be physical and brutal to all four men involved. Michaels will bump around like a professional pinball. When it is all said and done, since this is the rubber match, it would make sense to predict a DX victory. However, I have Cena and Taker winning their matches. I actually went in and edited this; I will predict the upset here. Cody and Ted get the priceless (no pun intended) victory.
Chris Jericho and The Big Show vs. Batista and Rey Mysterio for the Unified Tag Team Championships: I like the fact that JeriShow turned back the respective challenges of Cryme Tyme and Mark Henry and MVP. In the past, if a team challenged for the belts, they pretty much won them at some point (unless it was The Highlanders. Twilling note: Remember them?). I think Batista and Rey will win the belts. However, they will not do it tonight. JeriShow wins, probably after Show knocks out Rey with a big right hand.
John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship: Hopefully this match will not become the victim of going on after a Cell match, as the crowd will be coming down and the crowd reaction will be very important here. I predict these two will capture the crowd’s interest and after a solid match, Morrison will walk away with his title.
Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz vs. Jack Swagger for the United States Championship: If Jason did not say it, I would have; Swagger needs this title. He has lost a lot of momentum since coming over from ECW. It would be nice to see Miz with a belt again, but he doesn’t need it as much as Swagger does. I predict Swagger will win the belt here and the announcers will deem the U.S. Title more important than the ECW Title (which is not even being defended on this show).
Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox for the Diva’s Championship: Well, at least it isn’t Michelle McCool vs. Melina again. This could go one of two ways; either Mickie will win and Alicia will go away (ala Katie Lea in the summer of 08), or Alicia will win the title. I think I am about to contradict myself because I am predicting Mickie retaining her title, but Alicia remaining in the title picture. Hopefully Beth Phoenix will join her.
R-Truth vs. Drew McIntyre: I predict more than half of the television viewing audience will say, “Who in the hell is Drew McIntyre?” Beyond that, I think Truth will hit some crowd pleasing spots, but Drew will walk out with his first pay-per-view victory. I’m curious as to why this made it on the show since they have never faced each other; maybe they are moving Drew on to someone else. I like that this is on the show, but I think Christian is getting a raw deal (again, no pun intended).
In the spirit of predicting, and because this may be the only week I find myself on top of both Dot Net football pools, I will share my predictions for the four heavyweight games this week. I’m going Steelers over Chargers, Patriots over Ravens, Saints over Jets (although it is hard to picture Rex Ryan ever losing a game), and Vikings over Packers. In fact, I think Powell’s Vikings win by at least ten points. By the way, join Jason as he covers the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view live here at Dot Net.
