WWE "ECW on Syfy" Hits

Christian vs. Zack Ryder: This was arguably better than the first match they had together several weeks ago on ECW. The last few minutes were extremely (no pun intended) well done with the nearfalls. There were one or two where I actually thought Ryder was going to win the title, even though coming in, I thought he had no chance. Nice in ring work from both men.

Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov: Sure, they won another meaningless squash match, but somewhere down the line, they will have an opportunity to do something better. Their team and alliance with William Regal is much better than both guys winning random singles squash matches with no real direction. Imagine the cool stare down moment they'll have at the Royal Rumble.

WWE "ECW on Syfy" Misses

William Regal makes his intentions known to Christian: Christian and Zack Ryder just had a great match for the ECW Championship. So, Regal comes out and referred it as a joke or abomination or something like that. The referee's hand was still tingling from making the three count and Ryder was nowhere to be found as Regal and Christian ended the show. If Ryder is out of the title picture, I am going to be pissed. I'm a fan of Regal, but to give a young guy a very small taste like that with no follow up is ridiculous.

No mention of Yoshi Tatsu defeating Zack Ryder: Yoshi had a nice clash of styles match with Paul Burchill on the show and there was not one mention of Yoshi defeating the then number one contender, Zack Ryder the week before. That was a very wasted opportunity. After what happened with Ryder, I am guessing this was intentional and both guy will go back to the midcard, probably to feud with each other.

Abraham Washington Show: This thing was absolutely horrible until they brought in Tony Atlas to laugh. Now it is still horrible except for Tony Atlas's laugh. Something like this could work, especially with that "Applause" note on the big screen, but I cannot figure out why it is not working. Washington could be very good, but this combination this sucks.
