WWE Superstars Hits
Dolph Ziggler vs. Mike Knox vs. Finlay: I liked this match for a few reasons. The match itself was entertaining, it made the Intercontinental Championship look prestigious by having three men wrestle for the chance to win the belt, and it took place on Superstars, so it made the show important. I love that Ziggler won the match although I don't want him to be like C.M. Punk trying several times to win the ECW Title.
Jack Swagger vs. Primo: Every time Swagger is in the ring, I wonder why he is not in a top program. Primo is explosive and fun to watch. This was one of those matches that was entertaining without really progressing a feud, which is fine for Superstars. This was a fun opener that allowed both guys to look good and get the show off to a great start.
Hurricane Helms vs. Paul Burchill: It was not exactly the match I expected between the two, but I liked it. Burchill has old school heel tendencies to him and I am just glad to see Hurricane healthy and back in the ring. This feud could be something special and lead to better things from each guy.
Overall show: Nothing to complain about this week. We had an important match with title implications, a very fun match with no implications, and a good match that moved a feud along. All in all, this was exactly what Superstars needs to be.
WWE Superstars Misses
Nothing: Sometimes I wonder why a two hour show couldn't just be two one hour shows in terms of quality. I know this show has low expectations, but there have been a lot of times when I had "Nothing" in this portion of the column. I cannot recall ever saying that about any other show.
