WWE Superstars Hits

Rey Mysterio vs. Mike Knox: Good thing this match went on last because the rest of the show was a stinker. These two are an obvious contrast in styles, but they work really well together. I love what they are doing with Dolph Ziggler, but I would have loved to see this as an Intercontinental Championship feud, especially with their past. I like that Knox did not take the loss here.

WWE Superstars Misses

William Regal and Paul Burchill vs. Tyler Reks and Yoshi Tatsu: Ouch. This one was pretty bad. I like the idea of Regal and Burchill working together, but this was just a random tag team match thrown together. The match itself was boring and there is a fine line between telling a story in the ring and having a boring match.

John Cena throws out the first pitch at a Cubs game: Well, the kids love John Cena, but little Cubbie fans can now attribute another 100 years without a World Series to Cena. Cena will become in Chicago what Shawn Michaels is in Canada. Just kidding of course.

Chris Masters vs. Santino Marella: I was not a huge fan of Masters during his last run, but if they decided to bring him back, having him beat Santino on an episode of Superstars is not exactly a bang up way to do it. I am not sure if Masters has what it takes to be a top tier player, but WWE is obviously high on him, so they need to push him as such.

Dolph Ziggler: First chink in the armor Ted. Ziggler wasn't horrible, but he was close. Ziggler obviously has a lot of charisma and has shown he can be a good promo, but damn, don't put a guy on commentary that doesn't belong there.

Overall show: The main event was solid, but the rest of the show was forgettable at best. Not every week can be a must see show and this definitely was not.
