WWE Superstars Hitlist: John Morrison vs. Tyson Kidd, Randy Orton vs. Primo, William Regal vs. Yoshi Tatsu, MVP, Orton's promo
Jul 31, 2009 - 03:18 PM

WWE Superstars Hits

John Morrison vs Tyson Kidd: I hate to say it, but David Hart Smith might be holding down Tyson Kidd. Kidd showed here he can go with Morrison, who has shown lately he can go with anybody. A very enjoyable match with Morrison going over to give him momentum to go up against Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship. It also proved how good the future (and present) can be.

Randy Orton vs. Primo: It was weird to see the WWE Champion on this show, but I like that he wrestled on Superstars because it gave people a reason to watch. If it is made to be a special occasion to have the champion on the show, it will be effective and it was here. I also like when champions win non-title matches because they oftentimes lose them. Solid match here.

William Regal vs. Yoshi Tatsu: Along with Goldust, Regal is a guy that will be such an asset to up and coming talent on the ECW brand. I have been enjoying matches with Regal and Goldust against the younger guys and this was no exception. I wouldn't have minded a few more minutes, but nonetheless, I had fun watching this bout.

MVP video: Hopefully if WWE was willing to air this video package of him, they will consider pushing him too. I was in favor his babyface turn, but if they aren't going to get behind it, they should just turn him heel again.

Overall show: This was a pleasant hour of television that was solid from start to finish. Again, this is never a "must see" show in terms of storyline development, but Morrison vs. Kidd is a match you should go out of your way to see.

WWE Superstars Misses

Randy Orton promo: I'll give Orton credit for turning his monotone promos into his promo style, but sometimes less is more. A promo for a match against Primo on WWE Superstars was not necessary.
