TNA Impact Hitlist: Hernandez scores a huge win over Samoa Joe, A.J. Styles, Sting appears, Machine Guns, Kurt Angle's insanity, Eric Young's promo, in ring action

TNA Impact Hits
Hernandez defeats Samoa Joe: Granted, this was the opening match on Impact and not an Impact main event or pay-per-view match, but the win signifies somebody new ready to embark upon the main event scene. Let's see what TNA does next with Hernandez because they need to capitalize on this win. Joe is not negatively affected at all from the loss, just like John Cena would not have been affected by taking a loss to The Miz.
A.J. Styles: Styles won a short match against Matt Morgan in the first of their best of three series to determine who will be in the main event at Hard Justice. However, watching the match reminded everyone that knows him and showed everyone that is not aware of him just how good he is. The springboard 450 splash halfway across the ring was spectacular.
Traci's promo: I enjoyed the mini tirade Traci unleashed on Lauren and then Taylor Wilde. So often someone will swerve someone else in TNA and they will take so long to acknowledge why. TNA did the nice and simple thing here by having Traci explain herself.
Sting appears on the show: It was nice to see Sting in the Impact Zone despite the fact he really didn't do much. Regardless, since he is challenging for the title at the pay-per-view, he should be at least appearing on the shows leading up to it.
The Motor City Machine Guns in the crowd: The Guns held up signs in the crowd that said "Conspiracy Theory" and "Yes, we work here." I hope this leads to some sort of angle where they feel they are being underutilized (very true) and are given a huge push because of it.
TNA Impact Misses
Kurt Angle agreeing to title match: Even Don West pointed out on multiple occasions that Mick Foley and Bobby Lashley had nothing to lose and everything to gain, while Angle and Nash had everything to lose and nothing to gain by agreeing to the main event. Of course, Foley should be able to make any main event he wants to, but that's another issue. Angle agreed to the main event "for ratings." That was weak.
Eric Young's promo: I guess I enjoy the idea of the World Elite. Two heel factions might be one too many, but at least it gives direction to a bunch of midcard guys. Young's promo was good at times, but it went on and on and on. Also, the shaving of his hair looked bad because well, his hair was already really short.
British Invasion wins the New Japan Tag Titles: I didn't mind them winning the titles. However, they are a good, new team in TNA that has the ability to win titles on their own. They had a six on two man advantage and on top of that, they actually lost the match, but the referee wad duped into giving them the win. I would have rather they just won the belts on their own merit.
In ring action on the show: The longest match on the show was basically on a one on three match between ODB and The Beautiful People. They really jumped the gun, in my opinion, with the Tara vs. Awesome Kong stuff, but if they build this to Bound for Glory instead of giving it away at Hard Justice, I'll be happy with that.
