WWE Superstars Hitlist: John Morrison vs. Kane, Christian vs. William Regal, Evan Bourne vs. Jamie Noble, overall show
Jul 24, 2009 - 11:22 AM

WWE Superstars Hits

Kane vs. John Morrison: I’m not sure what Kane did during his time off, but he came back ten years younger. He’s been as good in the ring in this current run than he has been in his entire WWE career. Morrison is a main event level guy right now. Wow, he was spectacular in this match and the flip out of the chokeslam attempt was phenomenal. Hopefully Kane will not lose this steam working with Khali.

Christian vs. William Regal: As expected, this was a very fundamentally sound and physical bout between two veterans with very good in ring resumes. I mentioned that a match between Goldust and Shelton Benjamin would have been a good match for the young talent in ECW to watch, and this was another. This was a solid television match that emphasized both men’s strengths.

Evan Bourne vs. Jamie Noble: Matches like these are so much fun to watch and very disappointing at the same time. Bourne could not be more over than he is but he is not getting the push most people want him to get. Noble is a fantastic worker and fun character that will probably never be more than that.

Overall show: Three matches that were all enjoyable and that all provided something a little different. On a one hour show, I’d say that is pretty good. Superstars has been bad to below average lately and this was a show to get them back on track.

WWE Superstars Misses

Nothing: I don’t have anything to complain about regarding this show. I hope WWE continues on this trend with their future Thursday night offerings.
