WWE Superstars Hitlist: C.M. Punk vs. Edge with a screwy finish, Zack Ryder vs. Tyler Reks, John Morrison, Santino vs. TBK, Michael Cole

WWE Superstars Hits
C.M. Punk vs. Edge: I enjoyed the finish of the Punk vs. Hardy match at The Bash, but I was not a fan of this finish (see below). However, a Punk vs. Edge match that is given some time is always going to end up in this section of the Hitlist. I would love to see a feud and long program between these two and I'm sure it'll happen someday.
Zack Ryder vs. Tyler Reks: I praise the Ryder character pretty much every week and I did not hate the Reks character either. Of course, I loved Scotty Goldman too and we all know where he is now. Nonetheless, Ryder continues to be fun and Reks could be as well.
John Morrison vs. Charlie Haas: Not sure why Haas can never get a push, but as far as three minute matches go, this was a good one. Any win that Morrison gets is a good one because every win as a babyface will contribute to any future video package featuring Morrison. I'm actually hoping Morrison is next in line to face Punk for the title, especially given their ECW history.
Overall show: This was definitely not one of their best shows, but there was more to like than dislike. If WWE continues to put champions and/or main eventers on this show, I don't see how anyone could decide not to tune in.
WWE Superstars Misses
Forfeit finish to Punk vs. Edge: A forfeit? Really? Since when does an injury end a wrestling match. That is called quitting, giving up, or tapping out. If someone cannot go, the other person wins. It is not a "forfeit."
Santino Marella vs. The Brian Kendrick: I would like to see Santino established as someone who can actually wrestle and win matches, but this did not even start to accomplish that. It was a fluky win at the expense of someone who once wrestled for the WWE Championship on a pay-per-view, and probably has won less than five matches since. I would love to see both guys used better.
Michael Cole: Just like Tiffany is not really as stupid as her character is portrayed, it is obvious when Cole is fed a line, and the line about Raw being good lately was about as corny and untrue as it gets. Oh well; Cole actually got a nice reception in Sacramento, so you are free to decide what that means about where I live.
