WWE Smackdown Hitlist: Vince McMahon appears on the show over and over again, C.M. Punk vs. John Morrison, rage in the cage tag match, women's match, Cryme Tyme

I will be attending "The Bash" pay-per-view on Sunday and then joining Jason Powell for a Dot Net Member Exclusive audio recap after the show. WWE Smackdown Hits
C.M. Punk vs. John Morrison: Back when these two feuded in ECW, they were always given about seven or eight minutes on pay-per-view, which was a constant disappointment given that even back then, they worked well together. This match was pay-per-view quality and I love that Morrison got the win. Punk can get his victory back on Sunday and Morrison is now the new top guy that beat the champion. I hope John Cena is this generous with The Miz at The Bash.
Chris Jericho and Edge vs. Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio: This was a solid television main event made a bit more entertaining given the cage stipulation. Punk's involvement was well done too. I love how the first six guys I mentioned in this week's Smackdown Hitlist are the top six guys on the show, and in my opinion, could be the top six guys in the company period. The Smackdown portion of The Bash should be phenomenal.
C.M. Punk and Vince McMahon interact backstage: Punk's heel turn seems more like a "when" rather than an "if" situation. I love the slow burn and the fact that Punk's turn will not be via some illogical occurrence. Everything Punk is doing and saying is completely understandable, so it is not hard to believe this was his personality the entire time.
WWE Smackdown Misses
Vince McMahon's appearances throughout the show: Wow. Vince made up for not being on Smackdown in years to being on an abundance of segments. I could have done without him bullying all of the babyfaces on the show, and why should Teddy Long be worried about losing his job? I took two things out of this: first off, Vince left the door open to more appearances on the show, and two, Vince is no longer a babyface (I guess). I wish he would just stay on Raw.
R-Truth vs. Shelton Benjamin: They were given enough time to work, but the match just did not click for me. It was fine when Benjamin was in control offensively, but I just could not get behind Truth's offense and eventual victory. Unfortunately, while I think Truth could be immensely popular, his in ring style just doesn't seem to be meshing in WWE.
Michelle McCool and Alicia Fox vs. Melina and Gail Kim: Gail, you came back to WWE for this? I believe she was given a return video, made her debut in a multi-person tag match on Raw, and has been buried ever since. Oddly, I'm sure Victoria (TNA's Tara) is now thrilled they have traded places. The women need to be combined again.
Cryme Tyme's "Word Up" segment: These guys should forever curse the day John Cena went down with his last injury. At that time, the three had just formed what looked to be a new faction. Cena went down and basically, so did Cryme Tyme. Not sure what this segment accomplished, but 'nothing' comes to mind.
