WWE Superstars Hits
Christian, Carlito, and Primo vs. Jack Swagger, Tyson Kidd, and David Hart Smith: Sometimes I give hits based on factors other than the match itself and this is one one of those times. I know this is the throwaway show of the week for WWE, but this was still a main event that featured three upcoming heel stars and three talented babyfaces. Furthermore, the more I see of the tag champs with the Harts, the more I hope a program might materialize between the four.
Eve vs. Layla with Maria as the special referee: I thought this was a decent bout between two women that have improved in the ring. Neither of them are ready for a title run or anything like that, but they are both better than they were when this feud started. By the way, how hot did Maria look? Wow.
WWE Superstars Misses
Santino Marella vs. Chavo Guerrero: Chavo can go but has never been much with the charisma. Santino is still entertaining despite his character(s) needing a break from television to freshen up a bit. I mentioned a long time ago that Santino's popularity reminded me of Eugene's, and we all know what happened to him. Dot Net's Chris Shore said the same thing in his report and I doubt he remembered me saying it. It does not bode well when both Chris and I could have that same observation about Santino. Hopefully something will change with him.
Zack Ryder wins a squash match: I don't mind Ryder collecting some wins to bolster his resume and standing, but I feel squash matches should take place on someone's respective brand. This show should be reserved for competitive matches. Let Ryder win some squashes on ECW and then wrestle on Superstars in more even bouts.
Overall show: It was not a bad show, but it was definitely not a good show either. I almost judge this show against itself and since Superstars has been good to very good on most weeks, this show paled in comparison and thus, receives a 'miss' this week.
