TNA Impact Hits

Sting: I love this "calm, 'I'm sort of a face but sort of a heel'" Sting character. I've said many times that a heel doesn't have to be a "bad guy" and every face doesn't have to be a "good guy." Sting is a good guy but a heel. That works well in my opinion and I have enjoyed Sting more than ever since he joined the Main Event Mafia.

Samoa Joe: Again, I hope his injury does not cause him to miss time. I'm torn on his current push because I love the Mafia and do not want to see them get taken out, but at the same time, doing so will make Joe look damn strong. I wish they would just debut Taz already; I am ready to see him again.

Eric Young: Young was great during his in ring promo with Jeff Jarrett. I am curious to see where they go with him as a heel, because for the first time ever in TNA, he has some upside as someone that can make an impact (no pun intended) as a heel. Nice job by Young tonight as he really took advantage of the opportunity he was given.

Raven and Stevie Richards: Long time ECW fans will know how cool and weird it is to see the two of them working together. I am intrigued by the idea of a faction that includes these two, Daffney, and Abyss, who really needs an overhaul.

Beer Money vs. Chris Sabin and Consequences Creed: I enjoyed the match itself, but I mentioned in my report how this did not make any sense. Creed and Sabin said they were working together to get Suicide, yet Suicide had nothing to do with this match. Nonetheless, the action here was crisp and fun to watch.

Scott Steiner and Booker T: I'm sorry, but am the only one who is absolutely cracked up by these two (especially Steiner) in interviews? They are straight classic in their mic work.

Overall show: There was not a lot of "must see" action on this show, but overall, it flowed nicely and was easy to watch. Slammiversary is shaping up to be a very interesting pay-per-view.

TNA Impact Misses

Matt Morgan in the Main Event Mafia: I may have been for this at one point, but after further review, he just doesn't fit there. If the Mafia is still going in a year and Morgan has been a World Champion at that point, they could revisit this.

Rhino and Jesse Neal: I love that just about everyone, face or heel, put over Neal's work in the United States Navy. The man could not receive too much praise for that. However, he needed to improve to become green in the ring. His look (haircut and in ring gear) didn't help him much either. They have a potential star because of his story if they can get him more experienced and seasoned.
