TNA Sacrifice Hits

AJ Styles vs. Booker T: Let's get it out of the way that the finished sucked. I know it, you know, and TNA knows it. Do not book an "I Quit" match unless someone is going to quit. Truth be told, every time someone taps out, they are quitting, so they could even go that route if they wanted to. That being said, both guys busted their ass and had a very physical and entertaining match.

Angelina Love vs. Awesome Kong: I am glad Love retained her title, but I like how she did it. Love came out alone, worked the match alone, completely got her ass kicked, and battled back to get the victory. One thing that always bothered me was why someone cannot kick out when they are sprayed in the eyes with someone. You don't have to see to be able to kick out of a pinfall attempt.

The Motor City Machine Guns and Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Lethal Consequences and Eric Young: I'll give TNA credit for having a few storylines going on during this match, but let's face it, it was a very entertaining and continuous spotfest. Amazing Red vs. Kiyoshi on the pre-show was an entertaining to get people to order the event, and this opening match made those people happy that they did.

Beer Money vs. The British Invasion: If you have been paying attention, you'll know how much I have enjoyed the Team 3D Invitational Tournament. Watching this match and recalling the entire angle, I thought to myself, "Tag team wrestling could be so good if someone just paid enough attention to it." I was surprised to see Beer Money win here, but nonetheless, the top three teams in TNA are all primed for the tag titles.

Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Nash: I like that Joe won the match via submission and I liked the fact Nash obviously showed up in shape. He has obviously been working his ass off. I didn't like that Joe was hitting a move here and there and going for a cover. Sure, he wanted to win the match, but his current character isn't about getting a quick three count and going home. He wants to deliver a lot of punishment first. Nonetheless, a clean win is a clean win.

TNA Sacrifice Misses

Mick Foley vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting vs. Kurt Angle: This was a mess. First of all, Jason and I, during the match, still were not sure about whether or not Foley lost the title if he was not pinned. Basically, this was the "Ultimate Sacrifice" match, but Foley only lost the title if he was pinned? He made out like a bandit in this match.

Moving forward, whoever scored the pin won out on the sacrifice given by that person he pinned. Logically, everyone should have been trying to pin Foley or Jarrett. Pinning Foley meant you were the new TNA Champion. Pinning Jarrett meant you having ownership voting shares in the company. Why would you pin Sting? You get nothing if he retires. Angle? Running the MEM is cool I guess, but who's to say they cannot just overthrow you or start their own group again? The match itself was forgettable and it looks like Jarrett vs. Foley and Sting vs. Angle at Slammiversary.

Daniels vs. Suicide: First of all, the match just didn't click for me. After the opener, this one just did not live up to those standards. Beyond that, the finish was horrible. Why would Daniels want five more minutes? Why not just a restart and a clear winner? Even Don West had to ask what would happen if there was no finish during the overtime because frankly, I don't think he (or a lot of people) knew for sure.

Taylor Wilde vs. Daffney: It was short and they worked hard in the time they had. This miss is more for the entire storyline. Having Abyss and Lauren out there (and then Lauren doing a backstage interview moments later) did nothing for me. I like Stevie Richards, but he should be a straight manager if he cannot work.

Sting shaking hands with young TNA stars: They showed footage of Sting shaking hands with Lethal Consequences before the show. Real quick, do we all remember why Sting joined the Mafia to begin with? Thank you.
