WWE Smackdown Hitlist: Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy, John Morrison and The Miz, final segment with Undertaker and Big Show, The Bella Twins, overall show
Nov 22, 2008 - 12:12 PM

WWE Smackdown Hits

Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy: A very good television match that really accentuated the strengths of both men. The finish was a little weak with Kozlov coming out, but at least he distracted both men, similar to the way Big Show distracted both Hardy and The Undertaker last week. Hardy is absolute money right now and despite most of us knowing the finish of this match, they gave a very good one.

Opening tag team match: I thought both makeshift teams worked really well together. Hardy and Truth had great face chemistry, whereas Henry and Benjamin complemented each other well. It was a fun way to start the show.

John Morrison and The Miz: Yes, they beat Jesse and Festus, but a win is a win. Also, it was nice to see someone finally ring the bell in the middle of a Festus match. I know it has happened before but not quite in this manner. Morrison and Miz are both money as a team or singles wrestlers.

The Bella Twins vs. Victoria and Natalya: I am giving this a hit because the Diva's division has taken a huge backseat lately. If this was the beginning of a renewed sense of direction for them, I'm all for it.

Overall show: I enjoyed the wrestling heavy show and thought they promoted their side of the Survivor Series really well.

WWE Smackdown Misses

The Undertaker casket segment: It was not bad, but it was the same thing we have seen over and over again throughout the years. Also, I did not love seeing both Vickie and Chavo Guerrero stuffed in the casket so close to the anniversary of Eddie Guerrero's death. I'm probably the only person that noticed that, but it merits mentioning.

Lack of time given to the non-title tag team match: Potentially, with Carlito and Primo, along with Ezekiel Jackson and The Brian Kendrick, this could be a very good tag team championship feud. So, in their first meeting, the challengers go over clean in three minutes. Once again, the tag team division is glossed over, and I am not a fan of that.

Kizarny: Enough already; allow this guy to appear on live TV so his gimmick can die and he can go away. Seriously, I like his work, but this gimmick is going to absolutely suck.
