WWE Raw Hitlist: DX Reunion, Santino Marella, eight man tag, the Great Charli, Jericho's promo, Randy Orton
Sep 30, 2008 - 02:14 PM

I am writing this week's Raw Hitlist because Jason has yet to watch the television broadcast due to being in attendance at the show.

WWE Raw Hits

C.M. Punk, Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, and Rey Mysterio vs. Kane, Manu, Ted Dibiase, and Cody Rhodes: This was not a great match by any means but there was some very enjoyable action. On top of that, there was not a lot to sink our teeth into in terms of in ring action, so this was the wrestling highlight of the night.

Santino Marella: The Honk-A-Meter continues to be hilarious and Santino is just amazingly funny right now. I wish he would actually win a match or two cleanly and he should not be losing at all, but his microphone and backstage antics are classic.

DX Reunion: Yes, I am sure most people were disappointed that Kevin Nash was not Michaels' partner, but DX teaming together again seems to pop the fans every time it happens. Storyline-wise, it made sense and the fans loved it.

The Great Charli: While his mimicking of Khali was not as good as JBL or Mr. Perfect, he was still very entertaining. You have to give him credit for being an interesting part of Raw every week.

WWE Raw Misses

DX vs. Chris Jericho and Lance Cade: The match itself was too short and really did not progress anything in the Michaels vs. Jericho feud. DX destroyed Lance Cade after Jericho took off. Big deal. Also, they promoted this match as something special and legendary. To end it after less than five minutes was disappointing.

Michael Cole: Like I said in my report, he is such a douche. I know he is being fed his lines but at the same time, he delivers them in such a syrupy manner. Jim Ross comes across as a confident guy and knowledgeable announcer. Cole just comes across as a dork.

Chris Jericho's promo: For once, Jericho was weak in his promo. It was probably a case of, "I have to say something so here it goes…" Nonetheless, the promo just never picked up any steam. I guess he was doomed when Cade threw the ladder at the ringpost and missed.

Randy Orton: I thought he was used poorly this week. He keeps talking and talking with no repercussions. If he is going to be used before he can wrestle, they need to advance his storyline with his young faction to be.

Overall show: I was expecting and hoping for more out of the show given the fact it was being held in a wrestling hotbed. The show just accomplished very little and was very disappointing.
