Buy or Sell: Jeff Hardy as WWE Champion, Triple H, Jeff Jarrett's promo, A.J. Styles, Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels, Carlito and Primo, MVP

Today's Rundown: Jeff Hardy, Triple H, Jeff Jarrett, A.J. Styles, Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels, Carlito and Primo, MVP
Jeff Hardy becoming WWE Champion: Unfortunately, I am selling this. I thought it was his time. I was in the heavily outnumbered minority in thinking that Jeff would win the WWE Championship at No Mercy. However, after his latest incident, WWE would really be taking a risk in putting the title on him. While what happened was not a huge deal, for Hardy, everything is a huge deal. It seems as though they are waiting to hand him the keys to the kingdom and he keeps rejecting the offer. I would love to see Hardy with the strap and more importantly, I would love to see him in WWE for a long time.
Triple H: I am buying. Love him or hate him, Triple H is as amazing as he is solid and dependable. Sure, he is slightly injury prone, but who isn't? I am sure people are less than thrilled over his latest run as WWE Champion, but he deserves it. He is a great worker and he is horribly over with the fans. Hopefully he uses his status to elevate others.
Jeff Jarrett's promo last Thursday on Impact: I am buying this big time. I mentioned in my TNA Impact report that night that this was one of the most interesting segments ever in TNA. I loved it. Of course, they could ruin it by having Jarrett turn heel and costing Samoa Joe the title with a guitar shot. I hope that is not the case.
The treatment of A.J. Styles: I am selling this. First of all, I am less than thrilled with the "young guys vs. veterans" feud. Secondly, Styles should not be treated as a young guy. Kurt Angle and Christian Cage have both made reference to elevating Styles to main event status. However, Styles was the world heavyweight champion before either of them came to TNA. On top of that, Styles has been a professional wrestler longer than Angle has. This inattention to detail screams stupidity.
Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels at No Mercy: As a business decision, I am buying this; as someone who does what I do (and as a fan), I am selling. I guess we will see when the buyrate comes out. Basically, this is a Wrestlemania main event level match and that is the show I want to see it at. However, Wrestlemania will do a lot of buys based on the name of the event. With this match headlining No Mercy, a secondary pay-per-view will likely do more buys than it normally would.
Carlito and Primo Colon: I am buying them and I hope they win the tag team titles. I love these guys as a team and their pairing seems to have rejuvenated Carlito (for now at least). I am not naïve; thus I do not think WWE will actually get behind a full blown tag team division, but these two could really establish some sort of consistency in the tag team ranks.
MVP: I am selling his current push, or lack thereof. I am not saying they need to put the WWE Championship on him today, but they need to recognize what they have in him. He is a future main eventer who could be and should be working main events right now. His old school in ring work is chalked full of little intricacies rarely seen in today's wrestlers. Hopefully he works his way through this and flourishes around the beginning of the year.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Philadelphia Eagles: I am buying this as the best matchup of the NFL week. This would be a huge win for my Steelers in a year where it is conceivable that they could win every game in the tough AFC North. They need to; their schedule is the most difficult of any team in the NFL.
