Buy or Sell: Booking Sting vs. booking The Undetaker, Tomko leaving TNA, LAX, Sugary TNA Babyfaces, Saturday Night's Main Event, Jenny McCarthy

Today’s Rundown: Tomko leaves TNA, Booking Sting and The Undertaker, TNA Babyfaces, LAX, Saturday Night’s Main Event, Jenny McCarthy
Tomko leaves TNA: I am buying this for Tomko and selling it for TNA. TNA frequently leaves me scratching my head and I am starting to break the skin on my scalp with this one. Tomko is a star. He was missing that “it” factor in WWE but he is oozing it now. Tomko loves Japan and will be a very coveted free agent. TNA simply missed the boat with Tomko.
Sting vs. Undertaker: I am selling Sting’s latest return. TNA oftentimes comes across as a second rate version of WWE when they should be focusing on their strengths. The comic book stuff with The Undertaker is sometimes campy, but fun in the end. The way Sting is being booked is just campy and not at all fun.
TNA Babyfaces: I am selling these guys. Where is their edge? Where is their passion? Where is their desire? A.J. Styles is playing the dumb little brother role. Rhino is as bland as he can possibly be. Samoa Joe is decent one week and not so good the next. The only guy doing a nice job is Christian Cage, and most people will agree that he is better as a heel.
LAX: I am selling them right now. When they had their heel run as the tag team champions, they were complete badasses. They had an aura about them that no one wanted to mess with them for fear of getting their asses kicked. If they would have been whipped before, they would have left people laying. Now, they just sort of show up and wrestle. I would like to see them drop Hector Guerrero and Salinas so they can focus on terrorizing the tag team division.
Saturday Night’s Main Event: I am still buying the concept. Yes, back in the 1980s, these shows were big deals because the fans never saw big time matches on TV. Today, we have Saturday Night’s Main Event shows multiple times per week. However, there is still money in the name and airing on a national network is always good for the product. If WWE can find a way to make these shows a tad bit more special, I could see it continuing for a long time.
Jenny McCarthy and Generation Rescue: I am buying what Jenny is doing as well as WWE’s involvement. I mentioned in my SNME report on Saturday night that if you were affected by autism and wanted to donate, please do. There are a lot of charities out there and a lot of people that need donations. I am not a fan of those people who try to make others feel bad for not donating to every charity.
The fact is: not every cause hits home with everyone. However, if you have budgeted money to donate, find a charity that you feel passionate about and help them out. For some people it is autism, for others it is MS, and for me it is cancer. Most of the deceased people in my family have died of cancer. I may get it one day myself, so cancer research is a passion of mine. I respect Jenny McCarthy because fighting autism is obviously a passion of hers.
As always, please feel free to send comments and/or feedback dotnetrich@gmail.com.
