Buy or Sell: Jeff Hardy and MVP on the VIP Lounge, Edge and Vickie Guerrero, Great Khali, Kozlov, Kendrick, Smackdown
By Rich Twilling Jul 26, 2008 - 10:47 AM |
|
Today’s Rundown: Jeff Hardy and MVP, Edge and Vickie Guerrero, Undertaker’s return, Kozlov’s entrance, Brian Kendrick, Great Khali, Bam Neely, Smackdown, Bad pizza pie
Jeff Hardy and MVP on the VIP Lounge: I am buying this for however much they are selling it for. MVP was great during the entire segment and Hardy held his end in spectacular fashion. Seeing these two in the ring, I had the feeling I was looking at two future world champions. I predict a very good program with these two.
Edge and Vickie Guerrero: I am buying. As good as they have been, they may have outdone themselves on Smackdown this week. Vickie was better this week than she has ever been and Edge was great as well. I like how they both are hungry for power, but both of them show vulnerability as well.
The return of The Undertaker: I am buying how Vickie brought him back. It makes moderate sense. It definitely beats Taker randomly attacked Edge and Edge demanding Vickie to reinstate him so they could have a match. The Hell in a Cell match should be amazing.
Vladimir Kozlov’s entrance music: I am selling. His entrance was innovative and cool. I wish they would go back to it. As for Kozlov himself, I am very impressed with him.
Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel: I am buying these two again. Kendrick was very good during his promo and his character has an “it” factor that not many people have. I would love to see Kendrick continue to rise and challenge the next babyface United States Champion down the road.
The Great Khali challenging Triple H at Summerslam: Ugh. I am selling this as soon as someone will purchase it from me. Every other participant in the battle royal would have been an interesting opponent for Triple H. Instead, they went with the one guy that no one could possibly care about.
Bam Neely being involved in backstage segments: I am buying this. Bam has always been “that guy with Chavo,” but now, we know a little bit more about him. Baby steps such as these help characters establish an identity to accompany their in ring work.
Jim Ross and Mick Foley: I am buying these two as they continue to shine as a team. Ross sounds refreshed and happy; Foley was good to begin with and just gets better every time out.
Smackdown: I am buying the overall strength of the show. It starts with Jim Ross as the play by play announcer. With Triple H, the talent in the battle royal, and new stars like Kozlov and Kendrick, this show has so much upside.
Pizza pie with cheese in the crust: I am selling. I tried a stuffed crust pizza and ironically, I ate everything except the crust. It was terrible. The cheese was not completely melted and it just ruined the entire meal for me. Granted, I ate the entire pie sans the crust, but a nice, thick crust is something I love.
Thank you for reading, your feedback is always welcome, and I will see you next time.
