Today’s Rundown: Booker T vs. Samoa Joe, Sting, Kevin Nash, Taylor Wilde, Karen’s Angle, Brother Ray

Booker T and Samoa Joe: I am buying this feud because Booker has been spectacular and Joe has been decent. Their mic work was very good last night and their match at Hard Justice should also be very good. Booker runs hot and cold in terms of being interesting, and he is definitely hot right now.

Sting: I am selling. He is involved in the two top programs in TNA and he is not even appearing on the show. What exactly does he offer? Even when he starts to appear, will he be in main events? Do TNA fans want to see him in main events?

Kevin Nash: I am buying Nash and his involvement in the title program. He is not being overused and his strengths are being showcased. I think he will eventually turn on Joe and work a match here and there, but as long as they keep him out of too many main event matches, I will continue to enjoy seeing Nash on television.

Taylor Wilde as the TNA Knockout Champion: I am selling this huge. The $25,000 fan challenge with Awesome Kong was an innovative way to bring in somebody new or further elevate someone already on the roster. However, Taylor was the wrong person to give Kong her first loss, which only happens once. I am being open minded about Taylor; I just do not see why she is being pushed in the manner she is.

LAX vs. Beer Money: I am buying the feud because the long term booking of a mid-card program is impressive. Both members of Beer Money are bland and boring but at least the feud has merit.

Karen’s Angle: I am buying the show because it allows people like Kaz to show a personal side that was previously overlooked. Interviews like this will allow the fans to connect with the talent. I am selling the segment being split up into multiple parts.

Naïve A.J. Styles: I am selling because Styles is coming across as not very bright. He is a very below average promo guy and he sounds like a rambling child when talking about Sting. Styles should not even care about what is going on with Sting in the first place. He is in a heated, personal feud with Kurt Angle and that is where his focus should be.

The reinvention of Brother Ray: I am still buying Ray and to a lesser degree, Team 3D. Brother Ray has been great on the mic for the past several weeks. Team 3D’s involvement with Kurt Angle has made them interesting and relevant again. They are definitely holding up their end too. In fact, Ray is coming across as the leader of the trio due to his superior mic work.
