Twilling's TNA Final Resolution PPV preview and predictions: Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Morgan for the TNA Title with Mr. Anderson as the special referee, MCMG vs. Generation Me in a Full Metal Mayhem match for the Tag Team Titles
Dec 5, 2010 - 03:35 PM

By Rich Twilling

The following predictions are being made without any inside knowledge of the match finishes. I am guessing just like you are.

-Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Morgan with Mr. Anderson as the special referee for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Hardy was just given a custom belt. Morgan said in an interview that it didn't matter and he would win the title, take Hardy's belt, and give it to his wife. Anderson has to come into play here, but I just don't see Hardy dropping the title yet.

However, Anderson turning would just be horrible and be yet another ridiculous finish to a TNA PPV main event. I'm not really sure how they are going to get there, but Hardy is going to retain, and somehow, Anderson is not going to turn. I'll go with this: various members of Immortal/Fortune will take out Anderson. Bischoff's son will take over as the referee and screw Morgan over, giving Hardy the win.

-The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Generation Me in a Full Metal Mayhem match for the TNA Tag Team Championships: I imagine this is going to be the match of the night; a very fun spot-fest with several nearfalls. When it is all said and done, the Guns will retain their titles and go onto feud with Beer Money. If for some reason Ink Inc. wins their match, G-Me will win the belts here.

-Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe in a submission match: They are definitely going to a Kurt Angle vs. Jarrett feud; it is just a matter of how soon they pull the trigger on that. I could see Angle distracting Jarrett and Joe applying the rear naked choke for the win. However, I will go with interference for Jarrett leading to him knocking Joe out with the guitar and applying the RNC to an already knocked out Joe for the win.

-The Pope vs. Abyss in a casket match: I could see Angle getting involved in this one as well. He was in the casket once, so why not a second time? I will go with Pope winning this one and hopefully both men moving onto different programs, as this one has done nothing for either guy.

-Rob Van Dam vs. Rhino in a First Blood match: They have been addressing Rhino's contract situation on Impact, so Rhino won't lose here because of that. However, he is going to lose anyway. RVD wins here and possibly gets the crap beaten out of him afterward. I could definitely see interference in most of these matches.

-Tara vs. Mickie James in a Falls Count Anywhere match: Madison Rayne is the TNA Knockouts Champion, so I assume Mickie will be challenging her for the belt soon, especially since Angelina Love is busy with Winter. Sarita is in the mix too. Mickie wins here after a solid, but familiar looking brawl.

-A.J. Styles vs. Douglas Williams for the TNA Television Championship: Actually, this is going to be the match of the night. Tough one to call as Styles is holding the only gold for Fortune right now, but Williams is getting a push as a top babyface on the show. I will go with the "upset" and pick Williams to win the title. I don't have any other title changes, so this would give them one.

-Robbie E. vs. Jay Lethal with Cookie in a shark cage above the ring for the TNA X Division Championship: I'm guessing despite being in the cage, Cookie will find a way to interfere, perhaps by throwing a weapon into the ring. Regardless of what happens with her, Robbie will retain the title, but Lethal will get some retribution after the match by embarrassing Cookie somehow.

-Beer Money vs. Ink Inc. to become number one contenders for the TNA Tag Team Titles: Beer Money needs to win here and feud with the Guns. I fear they will go with Ink Inc., but I am going to assume they will do the correct thing. Beer Money wins and we get a top notch tag team championship feud.
