Twilling's WWE Bragging Rights preview and predictions: Will John Cena help Wade Barrett win the WWE Championship from Randy Orton? Kane vs. Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship, Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown
Oct 24, 2010 - 01:37 PM

By Rich Twilling

The following predictions are being made without any inside knowledge of the match finishes. I am guessing just like you are.

-Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett (with John Cena in his corner) for the WWE Championship: I really feel this is going to be Wade Barrett's night. Cena will be put in a position to help out Barrett or decide not to. I think he will reluctantly do it and Barrett will win the WWE Championship, leading to a triple threat match between the three at the Survivor Series.

I guess the other way they could go would be to focus on the talk R-Truth had with Cena a few weeks back telling him he should just quit WWE. Cena could be in a situation to help Barrett out and decide to quit the company instead. RKO by Orton and he retains. I will go with the former though and Barrett will leave tonight with the belt.

-Kane vs. Undertaker in a Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship: This is the third straight pay-per-view where Kane has had to defend against Taker. Can he pull it off three times in a row? He can. Taker generally loses these types of matches and then comes back after an absence.

The last time we saw one of these matches, Taker faced Vince McMahon and Kane interfered on McMahon's behalf. That was when Taker returned as the Deadman character at WrestleMania 20, bringing Paul Bearer back with him. Anyway, Kane wins with interference from Brock Lesnar. Just kidding. Kane wins. Taker comes back for revenge in a couple of months.

-The Miz, R-Truth, John Morrison, Santino Marella, Ezekiel Jackson, CM Punk, and Sheamus vs. Big Show, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, Tyler Reks, and Edge in a seven on seven Bragging Rights elimination match: Smackdown won this thing last year and I could see them going with Big Show again, making this "his event."

However, hopefully this pay-per-view concept will go away after this year, unless they plan to create an actual rivalry between the shows. I'm guessing Miz, Sheamus, Show, and Edge will be the final four, and Miz will get the solo victory. He doesn't need it, but it could be the platform to put him back in the WWE Championship picture.

-Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler: This one is appealing to a lot of our readers and with good reason. Two guys that should be around and major players for a lot of years to come. Neither belt is on the line here and the feud really cannot continue beyond this show, but it will be a very good match. Bryan wins with the LeBell Lock in about ten to twelve minutes.

-Layla vs. Natalya for the Unified Divas Championship: The buildup for the title change doesn't suggest that there is going to be a title change at this point. So, I will go with Layla to retain, but Natalya has to win the belt eventually. It is not going to be at this show, however,

-Goldust vs. Ted DiBiase (if this ends up being a PPV match): Goldust is holding onto that Million Dollar Championship, so that seems to be the whole feud right now. Goldust wins because if he didn't, Ted could just take the belt back and that would be the end of it.

-I will be covering the show live tonight as it airs, so feel free to follow along with me. I will then be back for a Members' Exclusive audio recap of the show late Sunday night.
