Twilling's WWE NXT Hitlist: Naomi may have won the competition in the first night, Maxine, two competitions, Vickie Guerrero, overall show

WWE NXT Hits

Naomi: Naomi came in with the most unique look of the bunch and the most fan friendly Pro (Kelly Kelly). She then made the best first impression by winning both competitions, one of which was judged by the fans. She also cuts a decent promo and most importantly, she has a commanding presence when on camera.

Maxine on the mic: During the initial promo part of the show where each woman introduced herself, Maxine gave the best promo of the bunch. It is difficult for a bunch of Rookies to stand out during week one of a show like this, and the women are going to have that problem too, so Maxine took a step forward during this segment.

WWE NXT Misses

Two Rookie competitions: When WWE had the Diva Search competitions, one segment of Raw was full of absolute crap. I was worried about the all women format because of how they planned to fill the hour. Well, two competitions during the first show, not to mention a promo segment, doesn't bode well for this season.

Lack of in-ring action on the show as it pertains to the overall theme of the show: Like I mentioned in the previous entry, this show's format is doomed to fail. The Rookie Divas cannot work long matches (and main roster Divas don't work long matches either), so it is going to be extremely difficult to produce an entertaining hour of television.

No elimination until week four: Elimination weeks can be made to be big deals and it is almost as though the weeks in between are filler. I am wondering what they are going to do for the next two weeks of television before eliminating someone in week four. Last night's show seemed long enough.

Vickie Guerrero: I know she is supposed to be The Miz of this season of NXT, but damn, if this is their ace up their sleeve, they are in trouble. Vickie used to get heat when she was with Edge, but she was even annoying then to me. Now, she is just unbearable. On a show geared to build up new Divas, Vickie is going to bitch and moan on the mic the entire time. It worked with The Miz and Daniel Bryan because people cared about Bryan. Nobody knows or cares about Vickie's Rookie, Kaitlyn.
