Twilling's Weekend Brief: Money in the Bank, Tommy Dreamer cries, TNA Hardcore Justice, Team Cena vs. The Nexus at SummerSlam, weddings, rude grocery store customers
Jul 24, 2010 - 04:03 PM

By Rich Twilling

-The Miz is Mr. Money in the Bank. From douchebag to main event level star, it's been fun watching him make a lot of people eat their words. Keep it up, Miz.

-Tommy Dreamer cries a lot. Let's hope Beulah runs the camera at all important family events. He cares too much and it's difficult to fault a guy for that.

-If you want to convince someone to give wrestling a try, watch the NBC WrestleMania 26 special, featuring Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker, with them.

-The TNA ECW PPV could be fun for one night, but then what? Seriously. Are they hitting pause to come back with strong storylines?

-Note to Jason Powell: 'TNA Hardcore Justice' doesn't sound any less porn-like than 'TNA Hard Justice.'

-Nostalgia hit even more of a high when Randy Savage made a rare appearance, along with his new action figure. I wouldn't make him a lock for the WWE Hall of Fame just yet, but the ice seems to be thawing.

-Randy Orton expects Bryan Danielson to return. I'm guessing if Danielson was taboo in WWE, top stars like Orton and John Cena would not mention him.

-Speaking of Cena, is there anyway his team wins at SummerSlam?

-That being said, will The Nexus beat Cena's team cleanly? Probably not.

-So, if a big heel turn is in the works, will it be Cena or will it be Bret Hart?

-Does anyone else think John Morrison and R-Truth will be removed from Cena's team?

-Will The Miz and Ted DiBiase take them out and have singles matches with them at SummerSlam?

-Then, will The Hart Dynasty take their place?

-Happy belated birthday to Shawn Michaels. It's rare to see someone go out on his own terms and as the one of the best in the world.

-David Hasselhoff is being roasted on Comedy Central and Hulk Hogan is one of the roasters. Can anyone think of a time when an actual star was roasted?

-Why wouldn't TNA at least contact Steve Corino for their ECW pay-per-view? He was one of their best champions if I do say so myself, and it's my column, so I am saying that.

-Congratulations to Molly Holly (a/k/a Nora Greenwald) for her pending nuptials this month and her plan to lose her virginity. Kudos to her. If we were talking about my daughter, I would prefer 32 to 12, and a nice hotel room to a school bus seat any day.

-Speaking of weddings, Bret Hart is getting married today. Congratulations, Bret!

-Note to Massachusetts: Send your Californians home. That is all.

-Note to WWE: Keep Wade Barrett healthy. The last thing this angle needs is Barrett going down with an injury.

-Don't you hate it when someone parks their grocery cart on one side of the aisle and stands on the other side looking at a product? Step down to join the real world, your highness.

-What happened to Around The Horn and Pardon The Interruption? The crap that replaced it was, well, crap.
