Twilling's TNA Impact Hitlist: Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe, Dixie Carter's extreme explanation, Knockouts, Kurt Angle, good matches on paper, no Jay Lethal or D'Angelo Dinero

TNA Impact Hits
Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe: An entertaining match between two of the top contenders for Rob Van Dam's TNA Heavyweight Championship. I was not expecting either guy to win cleanly, but I'm glad they did not go with a screwy finish. The time limit draw worked out perfectly because if they never have time limit draws, nobody is going to take the time limit gimmick seriously. This could be a money feud for TNA.
Dixie Carter speaks to the ECW guys at the end of the show: We know what is negative about all of this. Yes, the ECW guys are older. Yes, Tommy Dreamer cried again. Yes, it the pressing of the pause button in TNA. While all of those things are true, I'll take someone who cares too much vs. someone who doesn't anytime. This PPV will definitely have more people talking than their regular Hard Justice show would have.
Knockouts Division: I like that they are involving Sarita and Taylor Wilde. I like the dissension within The Beautiful People. I like the little looks between Velvet Sky and Angelina Love. We all know who is under the motorcycle helmet. There is some semblance of depth in the division and a few potential programs as a result.
TNA Impact Misses
The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Beer Money: The ladder match was very good last week and then they gave us a screw job finish. This week, they had a street fight with another screw job finish. Why not give both teams the belts some long term prestige by letting them tear down the house for the entire five match series? Why not end the series at Bound For Glory? Instead, they are just giving away what could be a great money program.
Kurt Angle matches: Yes, this topic looks weird in the Misses section. The Angle storyline is a damn good one, but again, they are rushing through it as if it wasn't a big deal. Any Angle loss results in him retiring, so every time he wrestles, it should be heavily hyped. Video packages, interviews from both guys, and a solid, competitive match. Go all of the way with these good ideas TNA.
A.J. Styles vs. Rob Terry: A.J. needs help from Kazarian to beat Rob Terry for the belt nobody cares about? This is actually a belt Kazarian could have won and been able to get over, but Styles is good too in that sense, but why not just have him win the belt? Now, if A.J. has several good matches, that would be good. Even better? Have him start a program with Douglas Williams and merge the belts into just the X Division Championship.
Mr. Anderson vs. Matt Morgan: Morgan has lost clean to Anderson and Pope the last two weeks in about six minutes total. That just seems wrong. Morgan would have been a nice fit in the Fortune stable, and now he cannot avoid losing a match. Worse yet, he is dominating these matches and loses after taking a finisher. A finisher should put someone away after other moves, not pin someone who was at 100% beforehand. Losing storylines have worked in the past, but Morgan should be used better than this.
No D'Angelo Dinero or Jay Lethal on the show: The Pope beat Matt Morgan last week and was helped afterward by Mr. Anderson. No followup. Lethal beat Ric Flair at the pay-per-view. He then lost cleanly to Jeff Hardy last week and no followup. You can't get everyone on every show, but cutting out guys that are in the middle of pushes makes no sense.
Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett promo: When Jarrett told Nash he had no idea what he was talking about, was everyone else saying the same thing? Nash called Jarrett a selfish prick, and when Jarrett started to point out things Nash has done in his career, Nash said he didn't want to go there. Long term build to Bound For Glory? I could see that. This promo just got it off to a weird start.
