Twilling's WWE NXT Hitlist: Daniel Bryan is eliminated and reverts back to being Bryan Danielson, Skip Sheffield and Michael Tarver are gone, in ring action, announce team, Darren Young

WWE NXT Hits
Daniel Bryan becomes Bryan Danielson: The Daniel Bryan character was not the guy the ROH faithful was hoping to see. However, once Bryan was eliminated and he "morphed" back into Bryan Danielson, things changed all of a sudden. He cut a damn good promo. He will probably be a force in the ring, and he will get to show why he made such a big name for himself before coming to WWE. Bryan's elimination was the best thing that could have happened. It is hard to explain why a name change changes the man, but throw logic aside, it's WWE.
Michael Tarver and Skip Sheffield are eliminated: Most people expected Tarver to go and out of the remaining rookies, Sheffield was probably the best choice too. I never got on board with Tarver's character and Sheffield's character was too bland. Perhaps both guys will benefit from repacking, especially Sheffield.
Three rookie vs. rookie matches: Each match was short and formula, but you can see that each rookie has benefitted from the time on television and has established some more comfort in the ring. Each guy looked better than they did when the show started.
Announce team dynamic: Michael Cole is a different announcer on Tuesday night than he is on Monday night. When the show first started, I said he tried to force being a heel announcer and it didn't work. Well, he's settled nicely into this role. I'm not sure it would work on Raw, but I wouldn't mind seeing it tried out.
WWE NXT Misses
Skip Sheffield doesn't make any sense: Sheffield said he was misguided for twelve weeks but then did not blame William Regal for being eliminated. He then said he should have listened to Regal the entire time. I realize he was probably nervous, but that explanation made absolutely zero sense.
Darren Young in the bottom two of the Pro's Poll: Why is Darren Young in the bottom two? Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel continue to fly under the radar every week, but Young continues to struggle to stay on the show? He has a distinct look and his interactions with C.M. Punk have been amongst the best segments on the entire show.
