Randy Orton vs. Big Show for the WWE Championship: The least interesting WWE Championship match in months (or perhaps years) is driven by the fact that neither participant has really been the focus of the storytelling on TV. Both Big Show and Randy Orton have served as elements of The Authority storyline, bit players in a story that gets non-wrestlers over and not anyone else. The return of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to television has been an abject failure and the build for this match is exhibit A in the proof of that fact. Orton has the decked stacked against him in theory with no help coming from the Shield, but don’t rule out Kane helping. Orton retains here, but with probably zero reaction from the fans.

Randy Orton retains the WWE Championship.

John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena has already beaten Del Rio with one arm, and beat Damien Sandow with an even worse arm. Why is there any reason to believe Cena will lose tonight? I fear for what Del Rio will be when he has to carry his act without the title, but WWE certainly doesn’t care. All that matters to them is to have Cena as champion, so that’s what we will get.

John Cena retains the World Heavyweight Championship.

C.M. Punk and Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan: Booking 101 says Punk and Bryan go over after seeing the Wyatts beat them down at Smackdown. Of course, booking 101 also says that if you want to see the feud continue, which I expect it to, hen the heels go over. So when booking 101 contradicts itself, what do you do? Well, in WWE you do the thing that makes the least sense and here, that’s put the the babyfaces over. They’ll find some sort of clunky way to get back to this tomorrow o Raw, but Punk and Bryan stand victorious tonight.

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan win.

Rey Mysterio, Goldust, Cody Rhodes, The Uso Brothers vs. The Shield and The Real Americans in a Survivor Series elimination match: Mysterio’s knee is still a mess, as is apparent from the way he is still limping to the ring. He will probably disappear off TV again after this and they need to protect him physically, so expect him to come in at the end and clear the last guy or two and ride out of town with a victory.

Rey Mysterio is the sole survivor.

Big E Langston vs. Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Title: Is there any reason to put the title back on Axel? Nope. Langston walks away with this one.

Big E Langston retains the Intercontinental Title.

Natalya, The Bella Twins, Cameron, Naomi, Eva Marie, JoJo vs. A.J. Lee, Tamina Snuka, Kaitlyn, Rosa Mendes, Summer Rae, Aksana, and Alicia Fox in a Survivor Series elimination match: The most intriguing question of the night is how much time will they give the women to eliminate everyone. My guess is they get five or six minutes and the vast majority of the Total Divas stay in the ring to hit AJ with a ton of moves to make her the last one out. I’ll take the Bellas, Natty, and JoJo surviving.

Total Divas cast wins.

Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz: This should be a pretty good match for the kick-off show, and I wish these guys meant more to give this some juice. Miz’s heel turn might be enough to make this interesting in the bubble, but I do think the next night on Raw we will have completely forgotten about this match. Still, Miz wins with a real heel turn in the process.

The Miz wins.
