WWE Breaking Point: Dot Net readers give their thoughts on the finish of the C.M. Punk vs. Undertaker match, Randy Orton vs. John Cena, and DX vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase

The Breaking Point PPV was pretty strong with a very lousy ending. The non-main event card was done very well minus the Great Khali vs. Kane match. I'm glad to see Kofi Kingston and The Miz get some time to put on a show and once again build Miz as a tough opponent. JeriShow once again put on a great show and Jericho played the home country crowd well and they loved him.
Christian and William Regal put on a strong showing as well and the writers decided to continue to play this story line for a bit longer. Instead of putting the belt on Regal and turning Benjamin babyface, it seems that this will continue until Hell in a Cell. The two main events were decent. They didn't leave enough time for Undertaker and C.M. Punk but I'm glad they didn't. I would have been really disappointed had a 35-minute match ended like that.
In the John Cena vs. Randy Orton match, Orton again came off as weak and couldn't take a beating. Lastly, I know you may disagree, but I am very glad they didn't put John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler on the card. These two young guys deserve some time to develop this feud and it was a very smart move to save them until next month.

The opening tag title match was fun. Big Show really brought it tonight. I haven't seen him look so motivated in a long time. Everything Chris Jericho touches turns to gold. Miz vs. Kofi was damn good. Miz's best singles match to date. That guy is seriously underrated when it comes to his in-ring work. The DX vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase match was actually quite fun. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Here's hoping DX don't squash them tomorrow night on Raw.
I didn't watch the Kane vs. Great Khali match for obvious reasons. Can they please just end this awful feud? Turn Kane face. I'd love to see a Kane vs. Mike Knox program. The Christian vs. William Regal match was really good. Regal's suplexes are sick. The Dolph Ziggler, Pat Patterson, and John Morrison segment was awful. Ziggler looked and sounded really awkward, and the fans didn't really give a damn about Patterson, which was surprising.
The Randy Orton vs. John Cena match was decent, but did the WWE really have to book Cena to look like Jesus Christ? Pathetic. The C.M. Punk vs. Undertaker match was a huge letdown. The ending was just lame. I'm glad Punk's still the champion, but it doesn't really matter, because he's only going to be fed to Taker at the HIAC PPV next month. Overall, a decent show, but the last two matches left a real sour taste in my mouth.

I gotta say, this was an inoffensive show until the Randy Orton vs. John Cena match. Orton beat the high holy hell out of Cena, with chairs, canes, the stairs, and just about whatever else he could get his grimy little hands on, and then with just a couple moves and a STF, Orton gave up just like that? Seriously? The "against all odds" thing was old as dirt even before tonight. Now, it's just woefully bad. Way to make your top face even more hated, and Orton even weaker, Vince.
Also, the screwjob finish... I have to agree with you. They've gotta just get over it. Bret Hart was and always will be my all-time favorite, and to constantly see them revisit what, in many ways, the beginning of the end for his career, especially this time with two of my current faves... It just doesn't sit right. Aside from the bad memories it drudged up, it also ruined what should've been match of the night. (That award goes to my boys Miz and Kofi!) Taker and Punk can burn the house down, and don't need lame screwy finishes. Hell, Smackdown, in general, doesn't need screwy finishes! Save that crap for Mondays, y'know?
But yeah, take out the two main events, and we've got a four star show. Leave 'em in, though... I can only give it a couple pity points just because I'm a hardcore Punk fan, and the great match Miz and Kingston had.
