WWE Judgment Day feedback: "WWE prides themselves on being new and exciting and unpredictable...what happened to that?"
May 18, 2009 - 09:45 AM

I was actually really looking forward to Judgement Day after Backlash and how well it turned out. However, I was sorely disappointed. It started off really well with the first few matches; especially Christian vs. Jack Swagger and John Morrison vs. Shelton Benjamin, but after The Miz and Santino segment my interest just disappeared. I was able to call every outcome and nearly every move that was made for the rest of the show and that frustrated me.

What was the point in me spending money on it if I knew everything that was going to happen? I think, however, the part I was most disappointed in was the Jeff Hardy vs. Edge match. Personally I think both performers gave it their all and I wasn't disappointed by their performance, more by the delivery of the match and its outcome. I called Matt Hardy's interference the second I read spoilers about Jeff Hardy's win and number one contender status. The WWE prides themselves on being new and exciting and unpredictable...what happened to that?

I love the idea of Umaga possibly getting a small push. We all know he's been ridiculously underutilized from the get-go. John Morrison is the last guy I thought I would like as a face but I really do. I think Edge may be in for a similar turn. I don't know how much further Edge can go as a heel right now. A face turn may set him up for an even stronger campaign as a heel down the road. Christian as ECW Champion bores me. I love Christian, but I feel as though he could be doing better things. I'd rather see him as a mid-carder to boost the brutally boring Raw. Randy Orton has come off as a strong character at times and booked pathetic at times.

Overall, I thought I wasted my time watching this show, I mean, watching Smackdown is better than this. Christian was great, so was Rey Mysterio. The C.M. Punk vs. Umaga match, not very appealing to me, I knew Punk wasn't going to hit his finisher and Umaga would squash him. The Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho match, was good but after some time in the match it was predictable who was going to win, Jericho was way to obvious on his role.

The Christian vs Swagger match, fun. The Shelton Benjamin vs. John Morrison match was good when Morrison hit the corkscrew. The Miz? Will someone shut him up already? He's becoming sort of annoying, he soes make some good speeches, but can he last in a ring with John Cena? Can he last in the main events? I don't think so. I believe Morrison is but Miz, not yet. The Orton vs Batista match, boring and deja vu, wow Randy Orton slapped Mike Kyoda again (Remember No Way Out 2008?).

The Cena vs. Big Show match was exactly what I predicted, Cena playing the injured wrestler and Big Show taking advantage all the match, until oh! Cena gets up and makes an impressive Attitude Adjustment (that was the only good thing on that match, but how it happened?) The Edge vs. Jeff Hardy match, wow! But Matt again?! Please no, I thought that was over, and personally I have no interest on seeing these two going at it again. Why do they insist on putting them against each other, it was sort of fun until the "I Quit," now it's getting burned.

And Ege won, with help, again. He won in the Royal Rumble thanks to Matt's interference. He won in No Way Out because he stole Kofi Kingston's spot and entered last to the Elimination Chamber where he wasn't supposed to be. He won in Backlash thanks to Big Show's interference. He won at Judgement Day thanks in part to Matt's interference. That is no fun and no good to Edge, he can win on his own, why isn't he doing it?
