Readers sound off on Monday's WWE Raw ending: "I loved the fade to black ending"
Apr 28, 2008 - 10:39 PM

Send your comments on Monday's Raw to dotnetjason@gmail.com

I loved the fade to black ending. It was very creative and unexpected. Two elements that have been lacking from Raw recently. That particular Hunter vs. Randy Orton match was also boring as hell. 90 percent of the match consisted of punches and chin locks, so its not like we we missed anything too exciting. Half the television audience was probably asleep anyway because of it.

I also think it was a great move because it established William Regal as one of the top heels in the WWE, and a force to be reckoned with.

Finally, I wouldn't mind seeing tomorrow's ECW fade to black, disappear, and never come back just so I don't have to see or hear Mike Adamle anymore.

I really liked how they ended Raw this week without showing a finish. Of course, they cannot do this every week, but this one time is very intriguing. I hope they do not save showing the finish for next week's Raw show because a one time trick like this might help ECW in theory. If more people tune in Tuesday night to see what happened and ECW saves revealing the finish until before the main event and put on an entertaining show, then there just might be a chance for ECW to gain some viewers beyond this week (as long as Mike Adamle does not scare everyone away). Now, it is hard to imagine that there would be that much thought put into building the ECW audience, but that is just my theory. Nevertheless, it has definitely worked on me!

I'm sure I'm in the minority but liked the ending. It was a cool change of pace and made me wonder where they're going with it. Obviously the follow up is key as they need to have a good follow up next week, but I really like what they did there as it was out of nowhere and got people talking. I don't want to see them try anything like that again with the ending, but I like them shaking things up.

Powell's POV: These were the first three readers to offer their take on the finish, but I know not everyone is pleased with it. Let me know where you stand on the Raw ending by sending in a paragraph or two to dotnetjason@gmail.com.
