Give the guy a chance. He went from American Gladiators to XFL and now to wrestling. What real play-by-play experience does he have? For all you long time WWE fans, think how bad Michael Cole was when he first started. I wanted him fired so bad. I still don't like Cole, but he finally got better. It's not Adamle's fault in my opinion. It's the WWE's fault for not making sure he was ready for this big change. It's one thing to interview wrestlers back stage. It's a totally different ball game when you're the play-by-play guy.
When you're the play-by-play guy, you're the voice of the show. I think the WWE threw him to the lions. WWE needs to work with Amamle (something they should've done before they gave him the job.) I think it will be fun to see if he gets better or worse. Hell he can't get any worse. At least I hope.
Also I will say that I'll miss Joey Styles as the play-by-play guy. He knew what he was talking about. Adamle does need some work, but we as wrestling fans gotta give the guy a chance to get a feel for the job. WWE's the one that gave him the job without properly training him for the duties of a play-by-play guy. Just give the guy a chance.

Powell replies: I get what you're saying, but Cole was never that bad.
I had to write in and comment on Mike Adamle. I have not witnessed a train wreck like that in ages. I used to cringe when he just did interviews, now I'm actually excited to watch ECW next week and hear some more of his hilarious announcing. I feel so bad for Joey Styles and Tazz.
For the life of me I cannot figure out how Vince McMahon wants to replace a lifelong fan who is a great announcer (in my opinion) with some washed up ex-American Gladiators hack who knows absolutely nothing about wrestling. How that guy keeps a job is beyond me. He must have some type of blackmail on McMahon.

I’ll keep watching ECW (I’ve been tuning in for C.M. Punk and Colin Delaney more than anything lately), but Mike Adamle is just horrendous. He’s worse than Mark Madden from the WCW days, he’s not even funny bad, just shake your head and want to cry bad. I’ll watch ECW to see where Colin Delaney and C.M. Punk go, but I’ll probably be doing that with the sound off now.

Powell's POV: Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Madden was a billion times better than Adamle. Admittedly, I enjoyed Madden's color commentary more than most people. Even so, you may not have enjoyed Madden's style, but he arrived with the knowledge of being a lifelong fan and clearly understood and had a passion for the business. Conversely, Adamle didn't even know the names of the wrestlers or the moves they were performing.
