Powell's WWE Elimination Chamber PPV preview and predictions: A surprise entrant in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match? An emotional win for Jerry Lawler?

Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella vs. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater for the WWE Tag Titles: Will this be the usual comedy fun or will The Corre go over with the idea that Wade Barrett can deliver a convincing promo about his faction taking all of the titles heading into his Elimination Chamber match? Honestly, it's hard to care. The tag titles just feel meaningless at this point, and we seem to get this match once a week on television. The show looks predictable on paper, so creative may feel the need to book a title change. Thus, I'll go with a Gabriel and Slater.

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match: These two work well together, but it's hard to get excited about a non-title match. WWE is essentially sacrificing their secondary champions to make The Miz and Del Rio look strong. I'm all for making those two look strong heading into WrestleMania, but I wish it didn't have to come at the expense of the secondary champions. Hell, Kofi even dropped a recent Elimination Chamber qualifier to Drew McIntyre. I'd love to see them do something to set up Kingston as a strong challenger for Del Rio, who I expect to win the World Hvt. Championship at WrestleMania 27. However, I think it's more likely that the plan is to make Del Rio look strong. I'm all for strong heels, so I can't complain too much if Kofi loses clean.

The Miz vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler for the WWE Championship: It seemed like a slam dunk win for The Miz heading into WrestleMania. It probably still is, but the story of Lawler winning just a week after his mother's death would be a gem. They could always do a quick title change back to The Miz on Raw. I'm taking The Miz to win despite that storyline possibility. My guess is that Michael Cole, Alex Riley, and/or Ted DiBiase interfere to set up a WrestleMania match for Lawler. My guess is The King has to go through Riley or DiBiase to get five minutes with Cole at WrestleMania 27.

Smackdown Elimination Chamber: Edge vs. Wade Barrett vs. Kane vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship: Will there be a mystery sixth entrant? I don't see a need for Undertaker to win the title, and unless he's working a WrestleMania match against one of these men, then why have him lose in his first night back? I haven't ruled out Dolph Ziggler getting his spot back somehow. If it's not Dolph, then I think the realistic candidates are Big Show, who has a DVD coming out soon, Christian, Cody Rhodes, or Sting! Okay, not really on that last one, but I figured that would grab your attention. Edge retains and defends the strap against Del Rio at WrestleMania.

Raw Elimination Chamber: John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. John Morrison vs. C.M. Punk vs. Sheamus vs. R-Truth for a shot at the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 27: The build for this match has not been as compelling as it should have been. They've been planting so many seeds for Miz vs. Cena at WrestleMania that the outcome seems fairly obvious. Predictable isn't always bad, but I wish they would have at least done more to tease that the other entrants had a realistic chance. I expect an ass kicking for Punk, who went out of his way to have the other participants injured going into the match. Cena wins and challenges The Miz at WrestleMania.
