Who won? That's the question many fans are asking about The Rock and C.M. Punk verbal exchange following Monday's WWE Raw. The question is not relevant.

This was not The Rock and John Cena trying to win a battle of insults. This was not a case of one wrestler trying make the other wrestler look bad with awkward interruptions or unexpected low blow insults. This was not a case of one wrestler smirking and no-selling the other wrestler's verbal shots.

This was two wrestlers working together with the goal of selling a title match.

You can enjoy one wrestler's lines more than the other's. You can love Rock's schtick. You can hate Rock's schtick. However, you are fooling yourself if you think this was about winning or losing.

Do not attempt to apply the ten point must system to this segment. This was not a fight. Unlike so much of the Rock vs. Cena hype for WrestleMania 28, this was simply two great performers doing really good business.

Fine, you still want to know who won? Rock won. Punk won. WWE won.
