-Joey "Lights Out" Styles punched out JBL during the WWE Tribute to the Troops tour in Iraq. How hilarious is that? One can only hope that this will humble JBL, who has made life miserable for a number of wrestlers over the years via his hazing. Granted, JBL has done some good in the locker room over the years by intimidating some wrestlers who needed to be put back in line, but I've heard some negative stories about his bullying behavior.

It's worth noting that one former WWE employee mentioned a while back that John Cena has been known to take the hazing to the extreme by initiating newcomers in WWE by having them drink excessively. JBL has certainly joined in on that fun, but one former employee noted that people would be surprised how caught up Cena has gotten in this in the past. The source did note that once the person passes the drinking initiation, the hazing from Cena ends there.

-Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com came up with a great idea while we were chatting on the phone earlier today. He mentioned that it would have been funny if Charlie Haas had broken out a Vince McMahon impersonation and performed "Stand Back" on the Slammy edition of Raw last night. How funny would that have been to fans who remember the infamous "Stand Back" performance?

-I'm curious to see what the next three-hour Raw theme will be. We've had two celebrations of the 800th episode and now the Slammy Awards edition, so it's obvious that WWE officials feel they need something extra to sell the show. I know it will never happen, but I'd love to see WWE deliver a house show-like episode where they simply deliver matches, perhaps a couple of in-ring promos, and no announcers for one night only. I'm not holding my breath while waiting for that one to happen, but I can dream.

-If WWE follows through with plan to make the Slammy Awards and annual tradition on Raw, then here's hoping they scale back on the number of awards they hand out. I could definitely do without the "Damn!" Moment of the Year, the Extreme Moment of the Year, and even the "Oh My God" Moment of the Year.

-I am really looking forward to Gail Kim's return to WWE. The buzz is that she'll be appearing on the Smackdown brand, which might explain why Michelle McCool is in the midst of a heel turn. TNA hasn't recovered from their bad decision to lowball Kim, as the Knockout Division just hasn't been the same without her. I just hope WWE lets her wrestle and doesn't waste her in-ring talent like they've done withe Beth Phoenix on Raw.

-It's not just WWE. You know the economy sucks when even the mighty NFL just laid off 150 employees. For the full story, check out one of my favorite websites ProFootballTalk.com.
