WWE Raw Hitlist: Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, Vince McMahon rips Bret Hart, Jon "The Flame" Heder, Randy Orton vs. Chris Masters, John Cena and Kofi Kingston vs. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes

WWE Raw Hits

Undertaker and Shawn Michaels: An awesome segment. I didn't think they'd have Taker turn down Shawn's request for a WrestleMania match, but they did a great job of making sure Taker looked strong by having him challenge Shawn to a match on the spot. They're doing an awesome job of whetting the appetites of fans for the potential WrestleMania rematch. I just hope they didn't give away the Rumble finish by foreshadowing Shawn's win.

Vince McMahon promo: The Chairman got back on track after last week's boring promo. I thought Bret would be at the show last night, but Vince did a nice job of setting the stage for his return. I'm happy they are spreading out Bret's appearances so that the feud isn't played out before they work a WrestleMania match, but they really need to get Bret back on the show while the angle is fresh in the minds of viewers.

Jon Heder: Napoleon Dynamite was a great sport. The image of him in wrestling gear was classic. Unfortunately, he blew it by rolling right out of the ring and waving to fans just seconds after being squashed in the ring when Big Show fell on top of him. I didn't expect much from Heder and Don Johnson, but they turned out to be quality guest hosts. Long live "The Flame."

Sheamus and Randy Orton: Good buildup to their advertised match for the Rumble. There's still part of me that expects someone to be added to their match at the last minute. We don't see many heel vs. heel matches in WWE. That said, I'm intrigued by this matchup. It's also the perfect show to go with that match since most viewers order the show for the actual Rumble match.

John Cena and Kofi Kingston vs. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes: A solid television match that gave Kingston rub. I wish they would have given these two a backstage promo so that Cena could have put Kingston over on the mic. Fortunately, Kingston got the pin during the match and looked strong. I also liked the Ted and Cody tension after the match.

Randy Orton vs. Chris Masters: It was cool to see Masters come so close to beating Orton only to have Randy hit the RKO out of nowhere. I don't think they have any clue as far as where to go with Masters from here, but he did look strong in defeat.

Overall show: Strong hype for the Royal Rumble with some funs sports entertainment moments with the guest hosts. The show ending segment with Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, and John Cena was very well done. One of my only complaints is that they only thing WWE advertised for next week is the lame guest host duo from "Psych." They have to do a better job of padding the weaker guest hosts by advertising something for those shows.

WWE Raw Misses

Mark Henry vs. Jack Swagger: They keep finding new ways to make Swagger look like a scrub. Here's hoping they give him a moment to shine in the Royal Rumble match because he needs something to get back on track. One can only hope that Swagger will be drafted to Smackdown in a few months.

Gail Kim and Eve vs. Maryse and Alicia Fox: You could hear crickets in the building the moment the bell rang. WWE officials need to examine the way they are using the Divas because the live crowds don't care about them once they get beyond the obligatory horny cheers during the ring entrances. There's a lot of talent in the Divas division, but WWE creative isn't showcasing the women in a meaningful manner. By the way, very cool submission move by Eve.

Hornswoggle: I know the live crowds love the guy, but the grunting during the backstage segments is insufferable for this viewer. Here's hoping we get a DX breakup soon so that Hornswoggle doesn't get so much face time on the show. I understand his appeal, but they'd be better off using him in smaller doses.
