WWE Raw Hitlist: Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne host Raw, Chris Jericho vs. John Cena vs. Big Show, Sheamus destroys Jamie Noble, The Miz vs. Evan Bourne, vintage Michael Cole

WWE Raw Hits
Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne: Fun guest hosts. The live crowd adored them and popped for everything they did. Sharon was entertaining in her "Really" exchange with The Miz, and Ozzy was great at pumping up the crowd during the opening segment. It was obvious that they're not big fans and weren't familiar with the storylines, so the bit with the wrestlers in the opening segments whispering their match ideas to them was nicely done. By the way, I cracked up when Ozzy clearly said, "He's f---ing tall," to Sharon (off-mic) when Great Khali walked out.
The Miz vs. Evan Bourne: It would be great if they could have given them double the amount of time they received, but it was nice to see "Evan Brawn" get a bunch of offense despite losing the match. A nice win for Miz, but he still needs to beat a star to make the fans take him seriously in the ring. His pay-per-view win over John Morrison was nice, but it didn't pack much of a punch given that Morrison is in the same boat as Miz when it comes to needing a meaningful win to put him over the top.
Sheamus roughs up Jamie Noble: Nicely done. This was a million times better than last week when Sheamus debuted on Raw with a forgettable win over Noble. He beat the hell out of him and the announcers put it over the rest of the night and made it seem special. Am I the only person who cringes whenever they play Sheamus's campy entrance theme?
Kofi Kingston, MVP, and Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase: The live crowd was hot and popped for everything, including the announcement that the match was changed to a six-man tag. Kofi had another good night by delivering a decent promo and by cutting off Orton's RKO attempt in this match. It's encouraging to see Kofi, Miz, and Sheamus being pushed. At some point, though, the company will have to pull the trigger and have them beat a top star if they're serious about creating new stars. I'm guessing Orton will put over Kofi, but I just can't see Hunter, Shawn Michaels, or John Cena losing to Miz or Sheamus anytime soon.
Chris Jericho vs. John Cena vs. Big Show: This match was booked properly in the sense that they had to make the heels look strong because they will be challenging Undertaker in a Triple Threat at Survivor Series. A quality main event with the right finish. No complaints aside from DX clowning around too much on commentary. I'm sorry, but those two just aren't as funny as they think they are.
WWE Raw Misses
Survivor Series hype: A consistent complaint among WWE creative is that there isn't enough time in between pay-per-views to build up to matches. WWE had one more week than usual between Bragging Rights and Survivor Series, yet they did nothing on Monday's show to promote the November show. There was nothing about last night's show that made me want to order Survivor Series. They didn't announce any additional matches, and they went the comedy route rather than build tension between John Cena, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels.
Divas battle royal: Great, Alicia is the challenger of the month. WWE's throwaway booking of the Divas continues.
Michael Cole: Golden Coral Buffer and Grill? Okay, so mistakes happen during a live show. But when did WWE go from mocking Cole over the "vintage" line to making him think it's a cool catchphrase? He uses this line to describe everything. Vintage Bragging Rights (even though it was the first year). Vintage Hornswoggle. Vintage bad announcing.
