WWE Raw Hitlist: TV legend Bob Barker appears as the special guest host, DX vs. Randy Orton and Chris Masters, John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes, MVP vs. Chris Jericho, Mark Henry bodyslams Big Show

WWE Raw Hits

Bob Barker: This was a big treat for this third generation fan of The Price is Right. Just hearing Barker's name immediately conjures up memories of watching the show as a kid with my late grandmother, who had a huge crush on the television legend. This was a nice coup for WWE in that Barker hasn't made many appearances since he retired (and ended my TPIR fandom in the process). He was the same old charmer and didn't skip a beat despite being out of his element on WWE television.

The Price is Raw: Sure, there should have been more focus on the pay-per-view. Nevertheless, WWE did a great job of capturing all the little nuances of the CBS game show. The skinny mic was a must, Howard Finkel was great in the Johnny Olson/Rod Roddy role, and the contestant's row stuff was fun. Chris Jericho was phenomenal as the grumpy contestant and I laughed out loud when I saw him wearing the contestant's sticker on his chest. Mega bonus points for The Bella Twins filling in as Barker's Beauties and hula dancing. My only disappointment is that the WWE version of "The Big Wheel" sucked.

DX vs. Randy Orton and Chris Masters: The match was okay, but I liked the way they focussed on the big Raw pay-per-view matches via the post-match angle. Good final hype for Orton vs. John Cena. I wasn't crazy about seeing DX run off Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, but I suppose the idea was to leave the fans wanting to see DX finish the job on Sunday.

MVP pins Chris Jericho: MVP needed this one. The final minutes of the match were excellent. I loved the finisher teases, the counters, and the fun near falls. I just wish this win was a sign that WWE wants to push MVP as a singles wrestler rather than more hype for the tag team match at the pay-per-view. This is just speculation, but with Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio off Smackdown, I'm not ruling out MVP and Mark Henry winning the match so that they could appear on the Friday night show. It makes sense on paper, but I don't know if Raw wants to give up Jericho.

WWE Raw Misses

Mark Henry bodyslams Big Show: Was this punishment for Show reportedly starting a fight with Great Khali over the weekend? Maybe not, but I hated the way they just gave away Show being bodyslammed without any buildup. This is the type of thing that you build up to for weeks and months and make the person who slams the giant look like a million bucks. Instead, it was presented as a last ditch effort to hype the tag title match for the pay-per-view. Again, I'm fine with Henry being the person to slam Show, but I wish they would have taken their time and made it mean something.

John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes: I didn't like the idea of following up Rhodes's big performance last week with a match against Cena. I'm not saying Rhodes should have pinned Cena. Rather, they never should have locked up. Granted, Cena didn't pin Rhodes, but they certainly established that he would have had Randy Orton not interfered. There was a lot of interest in Cody at the end of last week's show. His promo this week was okay, but he really needs wins to get over at this point. By the way, what does Cody's brother Goldust think about Orton attacking their father and Cody's statement that his career comes first?

Evan Bourne vs. Chavo Guerrero: The weekly Hornswoggle jokes get lamer and more predictable. Save the little guy for house shows and let Bourne and Chavo have a real program together.

Looking for a great fantasy football online scoring service? It's a little late in the game, but keep MyFantasyLeague.com in mind when you encounter the same problems I did with a certain online commissioner service.

I've heard great reviews regarding MyFantasyLeague.com from my former colleagues in the fantasy football world, and I learned firsthand that the customer support team actually responds quickly, unlike a certain site that lost my business due to lousy customer service, technical flaws with scheduling, and losing league history information. Again, check out MyFantasyLeague.com and you won't be disappointed.
