WWE Raw Hits

The Million Dollar Man: Awesome performance from the man who clearly belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame. Here's hoping WWE keeps his name on speed dial the next time they're looking for a general manager. I loved the way DiBiase stirred the pot with Legacy, and bonus points for the hard slap Ted Jr. gave his old man. Here's hoping we haven't seen the last of The Million Dollar Man and his son together on camera.

Triple H vs. John Cena: A nice match. It wasn't a WrestleMania spectacular, but it was solid and the live crowd got into the action after sitting through two episodes of Raw (last night's show was taped after last Monday's Raw). The near falls were strong and left people guessing. The finish was no surprise since I don't think anyone expected them to give away a clean finish to this match on television. I liked it because it gave The Million Dollar Man a chance to get another shot at Randy Orton by booking him in a Triple Threat match with Hunter and Cena. Yes, I'm bored by seeing the two of these guys constantly in the title picture, but I am looking forward to the Triple Threat match.

MVP and Jack Swagger segment: This was my favorite segment of the show. MVP was finally given a chance to show intensity on the mic and to tell the story about his prison background. Swagger also came through with a solid performance and I'm really looking forward to their upcoming feud. Someone has to lose, but here's hoping it's booked well enough and the action is strong enough that both guys get over.

Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase: I enjoyed this match a lot. The rapid fire setup of the match was well done and I loved the way DiBiase surprised Orton with his resilience. Ted was elevated slightly in this match. One can only hope that WWE will keep the momentum going.

Gail Kim: I was surprised to see her get so much of the spotlight. Granted, it was her re-debut on the Raw show, but I thought Mickie James would be showcased since she's the one challenging for the title at the pay-per-view. No complaints, though, as Gail was wasted on the Friday night show.

Mark Henry vs. Cody Rhodes: I loved the backstage setup with The Million Dollar Man ripping on Dusty Rhodes and complaining about not being in the WWE Hall of Fame. The threat to put Cody in polka dots was awesome. The match itself was fun and in a strange way it was nice to see a countout finish rather than Cody losing yet another match.

Overall show: A strong episode of Raw with a big main event. Sure, it would have been nice if this show had been live, but I enjoyed the show nonetheless. The only miss of the show (including the performance of Michael Cole gets repetitive) was very minor. See below.

WWE Raw Misses

Evan Bourne vs. Kofi Kingston: There was nothing really wrong with the match, but it just didn't live up to my high expectations. More than anything, I was disappointed by the lack of time they were given. The post-show beatdown angle with Big Show was solid and I am looking forward to what I assume will be a three-way match with Bourne, Kofi, and Show at Night of Champions.
