ECW Hitlist: The original ECW Title belt tossed in the trash, Jack Swagger and Tommy Dreamer, Matt Hardy vs. Bam Neely, Mark Henry vs. Finlay, Ricky Ortiz, Todd Grisham and Matt Striker

ECW Hits
Jack Swagger segment: Dreamer must be helping out on the creative side because this is the most storyline attention any feud that hasn't involved the ECW Champion has received in months. Nice segment that intensified the feud. Unfortunately, I think WWE already ran off or desensitized the original ECW fans who may have been worked up over seeing the original ECW Title belt thrown in the trash.
Matt Hardy vs. Bam Neely: Solid non-title television match. I'm surprised they didn't build up Neely for a couple weeks and then feed him to Hardy in a television title match. They have limited options to work with on ECW and they should get what they can out of everyone rather than just having the heels lose in forgettable non-title matches. Even so, it was a good way to start the show and I also enjoyed the post-match verbal exchange between Finlay and Mark Henry as they made their cases for getting the next shot at Hardy's title.
Todd Grisham and Matt Striker: Another entertaining broadcast. I'll be honest, Striker earned his "Hit" the moment he mentioned Jake "The Milkman" MIlliman. I also liked the way he questioned whether Ricky Ortiz would struggle in his first match back after a short layoff. Grisham delivered the line of the night when he told Striker that he could go to WrestleMania 25 as long as he's not fired between now and then. These two definitely add to the show and Striker is hands down my favorite color commentator in the business right now.
ECW Misses
Ricky Ortiz: At least it was quick and painless this week and there was less focus on his silly rally towel. It still baffles me that guys like Colt Cabana and Ryan Braddock are being jobbed out while Ortiz is getting the undefeated streak push. And now he's going to appear on a new Sci-Fi reality show? This is the worst crossover promotional decision since WWE sent Ashley Massaro to "Survivor."
Mark Henry vs. Finlay: Dull match early on. They picked up the pace and it was entertaining down the stretch until we got the usual shillelagh finish.
