TNA Impact Hitlist: Jeff Jarrett returns, Mick Foley appears, Booker T and Jay Lethal bicker over Randy Savage, Suicide character sounds like an AARP member

TNA Impact Hits
Jeff Jarrett promo: There were things I liked and things I disliked about Jarrett's return. I still cringe when I see that tired guitar. I'm not crazy about him playing a babyface role and admitting that he's part owner of the company and his line about being an owner and a wrestler when TNA was launched made me feel like he was acknowledging that he was playing an on-air character back in those days.
Nevertheless, this was the best mic work of Jarrett's career. He sounded so passionate and emotional. I don't think he can go that route every week and it will be interesting to see whether he's back for the long haul or if he's back on a short-term or part-time basis. I'll have even more to say about Jarrett's promo in my Dot Net Members' audio recap of the show later today.
Mick Foley: Short and sweet. The segment should have received more hype from TNA in advance since they decided to announce it on their own website a day early anyway, but his segment was short and sweet and gives TNA a chance to promote
TNA Impact Misses
Booker T and Jay Lethal bickering: "I served with Randy Savage. I knew Randy Savage. Randy Savage was a friend of mine, and frankly, you're no Randy Savage," seems to be the best way to sum up Booker T's take on Lethal's Black Machismo character. Meanwhile, Lethal's defense seemed to be, "But I'm a huge mark for Randy Savage so that makes it okay." Sad. Isn't it time for Lethal's character to grow up and become his own man?
Suicide: Suicide's voiceover guy sounded like he was 60 years-old. Seriously, I thought the guy was going to start pimping Liberty Medical or say something witty about Bo and Luke Duke outrunning Roscoe and Boss Hogg. Somehow I don't think that's the image TNA was looking for.
Taylor Wilde: She's just being pushed too hard too soon. I want to give her a chance, but I find myself being annoyed by everything from her music to the way she's portrayed as superwoman. For someone who entered the company as a fan in the stands, her character comes across too confident and sure of her place in the company.
Lack of in-ring action: There were roughly 18 minutes and 30 seconds of wrestling on last night's show. That's unacceptable for a show that bills itself as total nonstop action. They knew there was going to be a lot of talking in the final segment, so they should have given viewers more wrestling throughout the show. The gap without in-ring action between the six-man tag match and the Booker vs. Lethal match was ridiculously long.
Matt Morgan award ceremony: What the hell was that? Great, they're sending his DNA into space. Was that really worth wasting time on a wrestling show to announce? Remember this moment when the aliens steal the DNA and send an fleet of Matt Morgan clones back to kill us all. Somehow I've always known that TNA would play a part in the destruction of mankind.
