***All Lockdown matches are held inside a cage.

Bobby Roode vs. James Storm for the TNA Title: The match doesn't feel as big as it should considering the company planned to build it up as a marquee match since late last year. Fortunately, the build this month has been strong enough that they've managed to make it seem more important than a standard pay-per-view main event. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to this match as much as anything we've seen on TNA pay-per-view in recent years.

TNA has invested a lot of time in turning Roode into the top heel in the company, and Storm is the most charismatic babyface going in TNA. They have great history together as Beer Money and they did a good job of making this match feel like it's personal over the last month. The dilemma TNA faces is whether to give Storm the TNA Title in his home state or save it for Slammiversary, which is right around the corner in June.

It's a shame the locations of those shows aren't flip flopped for that reason, not to mention that it would seem logical to have the anniversary show held in Nashville where the company has so much history. A title change would not shock me given the hometown factor and I'm not sure how you have Storm lose inside a cage without delivering a finish that leaves pay-per-view buyers frustrated. Normally, that wouldn't seem to be an issue in TNA, but they consider this one of their top four events of the year and I'd like to think they want to deliver a memorable night. Still, I can't help but think that it would make more sense to build the fan interest by having Storm chase the champion for two more months.

Prediction: Bobby Roode retains the TNA Title.

Eric Bischoff, Gunner, Bully Ray, Christopher Daniels, and Kazarian vs. Garett Bischoff, A.J. Styles, Rob Van Dam, Mr. Anderson, and Austin Aries in a Lethal Lockdown match: I'm still a little confused by the stipulation. I believe the idea is that one of the Bischoffs is out of TNA if their team loses the match. Unless Garett has already lost interest in his new profession, then I assume his team will go over and his father will be off television for a while. I wonder if the idea is that Eric is out of the storylines on television, yet eventually becomes the heel color commentator for Impact Wrestling.

Prediction: Team Garett wins.

Jeff Hardy vs Kurt Angle: Kurt got some fans riled up this week when he said he and Hardy are capable of having a match as good as the one that Triple H and Undertaker had at WrestleMania 28. Can you blame the guy for being confident and trying to make some headlines? They have the ability to have a hell of a match, but there's just no way they can match the storytelling of that series. Their feud barely feels like it's reached the cage match level, and there's really nothing other than pride at stake from a storyline standpoint.

Prediction: Jeff Hardy wins.

Samoa Joe and Magnus vs. Motor City Machine Guns: This is an example of why I dislike the all cage match format. In fact, the matches below with the possible exception of Crimson vs. Morgan are additional examples. The Guns are returning to the ring after a long layoff for the first time on pay-per-view. They don't have significant history with the tag champs aside from feuding with British Invasion at one point. There's just no need for this match to be held inside a cage. There's no need for a title change here. It's simply too soon and the company would be wise to build a long term feud between the two teams that eventually has the payoff of the Guns going over. I'd love to see the finish be as simple as the champs focus on Chris Sabin's surgically repaired knee and eventually win via submission. There's a good story in there and there's no shame in Sabin losing in this manner.

Prediction: Joe and Magnus retain.

Gail Kim vs. Velvet Sky for the TNA Knockouts Title: Velvet won a multi-woman match to win the title shot. In other words, there's not much of a story between the two. I hope they get back to telling stories with the women rather than just set up Kim with a monthly challenger. We've already seen the story of Velvet winning the title. Kim is more likely to have entertaining matches. She's a solid anchor of the division, but she and the entire division need storyline support.

Prediction: Gail Kim retains.

Devon vs. Robbie E for the TNA TV Title: This is a rematch from last month when Devon made a surprise appearance and captured the title. Devon just won the Little Red Toy Belt That Nobody Cares About. Flip flopping the title isn't going to make people care about it.

Prediction: Devon retains.

Matt Morgan vs. Crimson: After all of the friction they built up between the two while they were tag partners, this match should feel bigger than it does. The feud seemed to lose interest rather than build it during the last few weeks of hype for the pay-per-view. Crimson is better off as a heel who wins in fluky manners to keep his winning streak alive. The streak felt like a creative burden during the last few months of his babyface run, but it could be a fun gimmick now that he's turned heel. I don't see any reason why they should end the streak at this point. He has to get under the skin of fans by gloating over his streak and make them hope to see someone end it. Morgan is the right guy to end the streak and the cage would normally be the place to do it, but the timing isn't right.

Prediction: Crimson wins in a fluky manner to keep his winning streak alive.
