TNA Impact Hitlist: Samoa Joe, Kevin Nash, Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, LAX, Booker T, Roxxi

TNA Impact Hits
Awesome Kong vs. Gail Kim: A frustrating finish, but the rest of the match was entertaining. I just wish they would have kept the other Knockouts out of the match, booked a clean finish, and given viewers a treat. These two work so well together. I enjoyed Kong's feud with ODB, but Kim and Kong produce better matches because they're styles work so well together.
Booker T: I don't miss the happy go lucky, more concerned with his wife than wrestling Booker T. The old Booker didn't seem focussed on anything in particular and was content performing his same old moves. The new Booker was cool and fresh. It's been a while since we've seen Booker play a non-comedy heel. Here's hoping his new character leads to him freshening up his act inside the ring.
Angelina Love and Velvet Sky: TNA did a really nice job of building up Love at the pay-per-view and on Impact by having her interfere in two marquee matchups. Sky wasn't directly interfering, but she still benefitted because TNA has done a nice job of tying these two together.
TNA Impact Misses
Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash: Wait, didn't we miss a chapter? The last time we saw these two, Joe was threatening to kick Nash's ass if he walked to ringside during his title match at Sacrifice. A few days later (technically, the show was taped one night later), they're all smiles and shaking hands. I'm all for the slow build toward with some teases along the way, but the storyline has to be logical. There should have been some footage of them making peace after Joe's match.
LAX and Hector Guerrero: It's just not clicking with me like it did the first time around when they were playing thugs. It probably would have worked better if there had been some type of transition from thugs to fun loving guys who high five Don West and play to the fans. Hector looked nerdy in the outfit he wore last night, and Salinas really isn't adding anything to the mix right now with her glorified cheerleader role. And don't even get me started on the company's decision to have LAX mow through the Motor City Machine Guns. Will the creative team ever pull their heads out of their asses and realize that there is money in a lengthy LAX vs. heel Guns feud? I'd much rather see that feud while Team 3D serve as Booker's henchmen than another LAX vs. 3D program.
Kaz: A good wrestler who just lacks lacks personality on the mic. The silly Kaz nickname, not to mention the even sillier "K-A-Z" references, aren't helping matters. There are certainly exceptions, but Kaz just seems like a guy who would be better off going by a full name rather than his abbreviated nickname. He definitely has the in-ring talent to move up the ladder and I would hope that TNA agents are working with him constantly to help him get better on the mic.
Roxxi: I've gained a lot of respect for Roxxi over the last month. She's proven herself to be a good worker and I give credit to any woman who is willing to go to the same barber I do to help advance her career. The problem I have is with TNA's followup to the angle. This is TNA's chance to overhaul her silly voodoo gimmick and turn her into a real person. Viewers can sympathize with her losing her hair if TNA wants to go in that direction. However, there's only so much you can sympathize with a person who doesn't speak and/or is playing a silly gimmick that no one can relate to.
