Our multipart series on the WWE Draft continues along with commentary on why it would or would not be a good idea to move each wrestler, and some inside buzz and speculation on some the individuals. This article focusses on the male wrestlers on the Smackdown roster.

Batista: As I mentioned yesterday, there are rumblings that Batista could jump to Raw and form a New Evolution faction with Randy Orton. Of course, everything would appear to be on hold until Orton's fractured collarbone heals. Keep in mind that nothing is official regarding this move or the new faction, but Batista has run through every possible opponent he could face on Smackdown. He's a prime candidate to switch brands.

Big Show: He's listed as a Smackdown wrestler, but he's made regular appearances on Raw since he returned to WWE, and now he's challenging for the ECW Title. I'm praying he doesn't go back to ECW again. It made sense the first time because he needed to be rebuilt, but he was over coming out of WrestleMania 24 and the company has just destroyed his momentum. My guess is that he stays on Smackdown and eventually feuds with Undertaker.

Chuck Palumbo: Rumor has it that Chuck isn't exactly happy with the push he's been getting lately. I can't blame him. I don't think it would get any better for him on Raw, though. He'd be a decent fit on ECW, but I'm guessing he'll stay on Smackdown simply because moving him to another brand doesn't seem like a real priority for WWE.

Curt Hawkins: I don't think they'll split La Familia at this point, so I assume he'll remain with the Smackdown brand. It would be interesting to see how he and Zach Ryder would do if they split the team and had them focus on becoming singles wrestlers.

Deuce: It's probably not a coincidence that he and Domino started fighting one another just a couple weeks before the draft. I could see one of them going to ECW, but I have no idea which one. Plus, the only way it would make sense for one of these wrestlers to move would be if it happened in a lottery format or via trade. No disrespect, but what general manager would select Deuce or Domino? By the way, who will represent Raw at the draft as the general manager on Monday?

Domino: See Deuce.

Edge: He's wearing the World Hvt. Title and has an established feud with Undertaker, who won't be eligible for the draft unless they blow off their past storylines.

Festus: I'd definitely split up the Jesse and Festus tag team and this seems like a great way to do it. Sure, they still have some appeal as an undercard gimmick tag team, but Festus has singles potential. I'd leave him on Smackdown and ship Jesse to ECW, but perhaps a year in ECW wouldn't be such a bad thing for Festus while they flush out his character.

Finlay: They teased on ECW that Finlay and Hornswoggle could end up on opposite brands. I don't see it happening.

Funaki: He's Smackdown's No. 1 announcer. Well, at least he used to be. Moving him wouldn't really accomplish anything.

Gregory Helms: We haven't received a medical update on Helms in a while. I suppose he could return at the draft, but I don't know what type of impact he would have. Then again, he'd be a nice fit in ECW, where he'd get more camera time than he did on Smackdown.

Hornswoggle: See Finlay.

Jamie Noble: He works as a backstage producer on Smackdown so I'd be surprised to see him switch brands.

Jesse: See Festus. Jesse is probably a nervous guy right now because there's probably not much of a singles career waiting for him if they do split up the tag team.

Jimmy Wang Yang: He's currently serving a 30-day suspension. I guess he could be traded in one of those deals that only get mentioned on the WWE website after Raw, but I'd be surprised to see his name come up in the draft.

Kenny Dykstra: Wasn't he already drafted back to Florida Championship Wrestling? There were plenty of people who were high on Dykstra's in-ring skills and I'm surprised that he hasn't received more camera time. Perhaps a move to ECW is just what he needs.

Mark Henry: He's technically a Smackdown wrestler even though he's been making regular appearances on ECW. Given the Michael Hayes situation, I'm guessing WWE splits them up by sending Henry to ECW on Monday nights. Remember, he's already stated that he's going to challenge the winner of the ECW Title match at the Night of Champions pay-per-view.

Matt Hardy: He's wearing the U.S. Title belt and Smackdown writer Michael Hayes is a longtime supporter of the Hardy brothers. I'd be surprised to see him switch brands.

MVP: He entered WWE with a storyline that he was the hottest free agent in pro wrestling. Now he enters the draft as one of WWE's hottest properties. The creative staff of the two main brands should be doing everything in their power behind the scenes to have him on their brand. He's been bickering with Edge and could be in line for a babyface push on Smackdown, but they might be doing that just to give him something to do until he makes the jump. I've already stated that I'd have him pin one of WWE's Big Three (John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker) clean and push him straight to the top no matter where he ends up.

Rey Mysterio: Poor Rey has missed approximately 10 months due to injuries within the last year. There's really no reason to move him since he'll be a fresh act once he returns.

Shannon Moore: He'd probably get more camera time on ECW, but it's obvious that WWE officials don't consider him a priority so he'd probably play a similar role on a smaller show.

The Great Khali: The deal WWE signed with Ten Sports in India covers both Raw and Smackdown, so that doesn't provide much of a clue. The act has really run its course and I can't see why anyone from the Raw creative side would make a strong pitch to bring him back.

Vladimir Kozlov: He's just getting started on Smackdown so there's really no reason to move him.

Zach Ryder: See Curt Hawkins.
