Results of The Ultimate Fighter featuring Kimbo Slice vs. Roy Nelson
Sep 30, 2009 - 08:58 PM

During Wednesday's broadcast of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV, Roy Nelson defeated Kimbo Slice in a second round TKO. Kimbo landed a couple of solid punches and had one nice takedown, but for the most part, he was defeated pretty handily.

The first round began with both men looking to stand up and box. Neither man threw many punches and they found themselves in a clinch on the mat. After both men stood up, Nelson took Kimbo down and kept him down for rest of the round, landing several (non spectacular) punches in the process. Both men were winded and Slice did very little in the round.

They gave away the finish to the match during the commercial by saying Kimbo was looking to get back in and was ready in case someone got hurt. In round two, Nelson took Kimbo down, but he really just rested his weight on Kimbo's chest area. He then landed a series of punches as the other competitors counted along.

Kimbo did not fight back even though the punches looked very soft. The referee told him he needed to see something, but Kimbo did nothing, and the fight was stopped. After the fight, UFC President Dana White said the punches looked like punches he received from his daughter. He said Nelson did just enough to win, but Kimbo could get another opportunity.

Twill's Two Cents: I was surprised to see Kimbo look so winded because he really was not being hit with much. I loved Kimbo's attitude though. He expressed sadness, but he stayed positive and did not bitch. I respected that. I am not sure Roy Nelson has what it takes to fight in the UFC as well, but it was hard to tell based on this outing alone.
