UFC contender Shane Carwin ripped Brock Lesnar in a blog that was picked up by Yahoo Sports. "The flipping off of the fans that just lined your pocket with millions of dollars is just lame,” Carwin wrote. “He may be a champion but he has a long ways to go before he earns the respect of a champion.

"The fans are why we do this Brock, this sport is not about fat paychecks and drama. It is about hard work and sacrifice for a shot to do what you did [Saturday] night. Powell's POV: Carwin will be facing Cain Velasquez at UFC 104. The winner of the fight will get a title match with Lesnar. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but Carwin seems to be positioning himself as the favorite of the MMA purists who despise Lesnar. It's not a bad strategy. I assume Brock's comeback will be that he'll be happy to beat respect into Carwin or anyone else who doesn't respect him. Feel free to use that one, Brock.
