Former MLB player Jose Canseco makes his MMA debut
May 26, 2009 - 11:49 AM |
Jose Canseco was knocked out in the first round of his MMA fight against Hong-Man Choi. He landed one hard punch right after the opening bell, but suffered an apparent knee injury and was dominated by a flurry of punches that ended the fight. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Commissioner Piper]
Powell's POV: Those of us who were hoping to see Canseco take a knockout punch were left disappointed. The big punch Canseco landed early was a surprise and he hung in there and didn't run away from the 7-2 giant he was facing, but the end result was no surprise. How about Canseco vs. Mark McGwire next time?
