UFC News: Alistair Overeem tests positive for elevated testosterone

Alistair Overeem, the number one contender for the UFC Heavyweight Championship, has tested positive for elevated testosterone levels, a indicator of steroid use. Overeem must appear before the Nevada State Athletic Commission before he faces UFC Champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC 146. The test is part of the conditional license he received to fight Brock Lesnar at UFC141. Shore's Slant: Let's be clear, elevated testosterone is an indicator of steroid use but does NOT guarantee that he has taken steroids. The fallout from this could be huge as Overeem retired Brock Lesnar in their fight at 141, and is scheduled to fight for the title at 146. Stay tuned for more details
