UFC on FOX ratings: How did the premier show perform against heavy football competition?

UFC on FOX made its debut last night to 4.56 million viewers, scoring a 2.1 rating in the adult 18-49 demo. This number is likely to be revised upward due to the nature of how viewers are calculated when live programming is shown from coast-to-coast. Shore's Slant: It is believed that UFC and Fox were hoping for 3 million viewers, so this is certainly a win for them if that is true. The show finished behind the GOP debate and the Oregon-Stanford college football game. Now the question remains, how many of that 4.6+ million people were new fans, and how many will buy the next PPV.
