UFC News: Dana White cancels UFC 151, Jon Jones turned down replacement fight against Chael Sonnen

UFC president Dana White held a press conference on Thursday to announce that the UFC 151 pay-per-view is cancelled. The event was scheduled to take place on September 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Powell's POV: White made the call to cancel the event because Dan Henderson suffered a partial tear of his MCL. Henderson was scheduled to challenge UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones in the main event. White noted that Jones declined to fight Chael Sonnen on just eight days notice. Jones will instead face Lyota Machida at UFC 152 in Toronto.
